KARACHI: Doctors on Wednesday completed the medical examination of former president Pervez Musharraf and advised him to get his Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test done.

According to details, changes were made in the medical board formed by the government to examine the medical condition of Pervez Musharraf.

A Balochistan Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had ordered the medical examination of former military ruler in Akbar Bugti murder case.

Dr Imtiaz Hashmi, who had once served as the doctor of former president Asif Ali Zardari, has also been included in the medical team, replacing Professor Anis Bhatti.

Dr Imtiaz Hashmi works as a Neuro spinal chord surgeon at a private hospital.

However, the sources said under the rules a doctor serving in a private hospital cannot be appointed as a head of a government formed medical board.

Earlier, similar medical boards were formed twice in the past for medical examination of Pervez Musharraf but he had not appeared before these bodies.
