Altay & Turkish Main Battle Tank Programs

Uhm... we got the Altay design from the koreans, we just modified it

This is not true and thats why you should not make such a statement.
Always give the link when you post something.
Check out the whole thread and then make a statement.

Did we or did we not use the XK2 body design as basis for the design of the ALTAY

Mind if both of you explain to me what you understood from my last 2 posts
, to provide technical support and assistance for the Turkish new main battle tank program.

The contract covers technical support and technology transfer for tank system, armor and main gun.

Hyundai Rotem will also support the entire project process from tank design, production to testing, with the support of the Agency for Defense Development (ADD).

Nope, we didn't get Altay's design from Koreans. By tech transfer and support, we designed Altay.

Only the engine compartment, is similar to Korean K2.. though it's still a pre-prototype design and could change. Like T-155 changed over the course of testing in Turkey.

And here a Leclerc tank, since all three tanks share same engine.

So @madmusti, @Sinan, @T-123456, @Combat-Master

you are all telling me, that in the development of the altay tank we never used the XK2 as Reference model, even though they share alot of hull similarities especially Altay prototype 1. It just happend to look similar

Look at the 3rd gen western MBTs,in a way they all have similar hulls.
The Altay has a longer hull then the K2 and 7 wheels instead of the 6 on the K2.

.
If you look from front, you notice that Altay and XK2 look close while the m1 and leo doesn't.

However I did notice that the front armor from Proto 2 is different from proto 1.

You should read something before throwing unrealistic claims. Talking about a project without having any idea, will just make you fall into such desperate situation so better stop there. That's an internationla forum that shared informations are read by many different nations and Noone gives permission for such disinformations...

We have told Why Altay is not an XK-2 many times but I think It is needed to mention same things...

Regarding Altay chassis, Suspension system of Altay has nothing to do with XK-2. Contrary to XK-2, Altay has 7 wheels which makes it bigger and heavier than equivalent. Contrary to XK-2, Driver section of chassis is stationed in the center of design. Altay doesn't have an autoloader. I think it is no need to talk about Turret design differences. All of us have eyes, more or less brain and basic comprehension abilities which seperate h@mo sapiens from others.
