Al-Sisi: No one will be able to take a drop of water from Egypt. And whoever wants to be tested, let him be tested

ridiculous comparison... Ethiopia is like a guy with 1 kitchen knife compared to PK

Lmao just realised that now. I did not expec t Ethiopia to be that weak. Looked at their air force and army. Very weak especially for a country the size of Ethiopia. Punching below its weight.
UAE has bases in the Red Sea very close to Ethiopia and at one point had a base in Eritrea. Along with tankers and vast experience with them it would be pretty simple. UAEAF has a vast amount of experience in line at least with NATO standards if not exceeding them. UAE could do it in a couple weeks if they put their all to it, but this is all theoretical after all.

Pakistan's military is actually competent because it needed to be in order to counter a much richer, and more powerful nation. Ethiopia has had none of that and is a very weak nation militarily, and will likely be weak for a very long time.

But why is a country as small as UAE arming itself? As far as I know UAE is not a enemy country of Iran?

Well, they were practically starving to death with famines out of control just in the 80s and 90s. They only began to stabilize and building in the 2000s. They've come a long way but they still have a long way to go.

Egypt cannot make any military intervention to Ethiopia. Its literally impossible. The Egyptian government also carefully chooses its words on this issue. Political and economic conditions are not suitable for kicking negatiation table. There is no need to even touch upon the technical difficulties.

Ethiopia also has strong support behind it. There are many states that invest directly or indirectly in Ethiopia's potential. Egypt cannot pacify this by simply distributing military tenders. As like as there are traditional players in the African Horn-Nile Basin, It is also necessary to examine China's East Africa strategies shaped around the Addis Ababa-Djibouti railway. Going on such an adventure when the situation in Libya is uncertain would be the end of the regime that came to power with the coup in Egypt. They have to do this diplomatically, and the fight here is about the content of this mediation mechanism and who will sit the table with which cards.

On the other hand, Egypt does not need to any militarily move as described here to get what it wants. They just have to take their steps in the right order and with the right partners.

Egypt won't risk war, so this is nothing more than bluster. Any attack on Ethiopia's dam would immediately isolate Egypt.

it’s odd that he felt the need for this blister though. Perhaps his message is to reassure his people after the week it took to get the Suez Canal passable again. There is some of talk of the Russians financing a canal through Israel connected to the Gulf of Aqaba, while East Asians shipping companies looking again at the the Arctic route for Shipping to and from Northern Europe.

A lot of help assistance and investments from the from GCC.. even from Egypt.. what an irony..

Ethiopians are good guerilla fighters as they have history of leftist insurgency. Israel and China are the main powerbroker in Ethiopia now. Sisi will have to deal with the Euresian wings if somehow a conflict with the Ethiopians break out. Giving Sisi's present closeness with the Russians and while Trump is out of office, it will be hard for him to rally western support behind him. Egypt is no longer an indispensable western ally in the middle east as it once used to be. That is why they forged new alliance with UAE as a potential ATM machine !!
Above all, Egypt's highest authority SCAF doesn't like lethal conflicts which may cause death to their soldiers. They can replace Sisi for the same reason they had replaced Mursi.

The most important from the statement .. is the timing and place of it ..
The Nile is the lifeblood of Egypt = The Suez Canal is the lifeblood of the world .. The choice is yours.

Those projects are full of BS.. as everyone could see.. the ships that couldn't go throughbecause of that Even Greeen event ..all waited there for a week or so instead of thinking about other routes.. almost 400 big ships..

Sisi is the real head of SCAF even during Mursi one year time..
People need to understand what he is talking about.. it a matter of life and death for a whole nation..If Rthiopia shows it wants Egypt's death ,,then be sure Ethiopia will be destroyed.. it much better off with a good deal that suite the three parties than seeking its own destruction..that is if the people running the show there are rational..Neither Usrael nor China are powerbrokers in Ethiopia now..they were a little in the past by financing the Dam and it stopped there..

It is obvious you have a complex about the Egyptian armed forces and soldiers.. bringing in Ethiopians as good guerrilla fighters..HaHa.. they can never match those ISIS and Al Qaeda guys who were decimated.. no one is invading them .._well maybe taking the whole area of the dam and securing it.. as it is only about 20 km from the Sudanese borders_..

What? Abiy Ahmed the president is an UAE ally who also helped him in his battle against the Tigray in the north. UAE send drones to fight on his side. Egypt will not be needing to gather support from anyone except herself. Egypt is supportive of Abiy Ahmed. his favorable in the negotiation
