We do not threaten anyone, and our dialogue is always very rational and patient, but no one will be able to take a drop of water from Egypt or there will be a state of instability in the region no one can imagine . and no one should think to be able to remain far from our ability, I have never spoken like this, and not threatening anyone. and I say again that the water in Egypt is untouchable and touching it is a red line ; Our reaction in the event of a violation will affect the entire economy of the region, thank you."

Our battle is a battle of negotiation and hostilities are unacceptable ... But if our water supplies are affected, Egypt's response will resonate in the region."

He is right.... Egypt is a regional power and nothing comes close to Egypt in that region....

. . . . .
Like the Saudis destroyed the Houthis? You guys are catching the Western disease!
Conventionally UAE could destroy Ethopia's whole military infrastructure in a few days and let the country burn. You are talking about an air force with top technology and training versus an air force weaker than many others much smaller in size.

Houthis are an unconventional force that requires extra steps. Even America couldn't win against the Taliban for that reason.

Even the UAE air force could destroy Ethiopia, they are a weak nation.

It is much stronger for sure. But could it really destroy it? Ethiopia is 2500 km away. Thats quite some distance away. If you are simply saying it because Ethiopia is a poor nation... So is Pakistan compared to the UAE and it 1000 km closer. Do you really think UAE air force could destroy Pakistan?

UAE has bases in the Red Sea very close to Ethiopia and at one point had a base in Eritrea. Along with tankers and vast experience with them it would be pretty simple. UAEAF has a vast amount of experience in line at least with NATO standards if not exceeding them. UAE could do it in a couple weeks if they put their all to it, but this is all theoretical after all.

Pakistan's military is actually competent because it needed to be in order to counter a much richer, and more powerful nation. Ethiopia has had none of that and is a very weak nation militarily, and will likely be weak for a very long time.
Egypt won't risk war, so this is nothing more than bluster. Any attack on Ethiopia's dam would immediately isolate Egypt.
What kind of solution is there to this problem? It is inevitable that any negotiations will lead to nowhere quickly.
