Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

Imagine if we designed drone squadrons where each drone has a specific role.

5 x anti infantry TB2's
1 x heavy bombardment Akinci
1 x anti tank Aksungur
1 x Electronic Warfare Aksungur

Obviously you could change that up in any way you like. Just imagine the possibilities.




By the way the TB2's in this case serve as loyal wingmen for the larger and more expensive drones.
Why not?? All of mentioned drones are suitable for the missions you described we just need the numbers which will be achieved in 2-3 years at max

How are the domestic motor plans for the UAV's going?

For akıncı, Baykar and Ukraine company established a joint venture named "Blacksea Shield". They will produce turboprop engines. Tei developed pd170 for anka. Mius will use turbofan engine. There are rumors that tei will develop 9k lb turbofan using ts1400 core engine. But this news is not confirmed.

Which Engines They are developing?

Afaik, They had 2 teams. One for Jet engines and One for combustion engines. And They are in late stages of ts1400 development. So Their Jet Engine team needs a new assignment. It seems They are not getting TFX engine deal Thus It is great idea to utilize this team with Such project.

Bayraktar Vertical Landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (DIHA) is a Mini Tactical UAV class aircraft capable of carrying out activities for reconnaissance and intelligence missions.

The vehicle is capable of automatic cruise, autonomous take-off, autonomous landing and semi-autonomous cruise flight. Bayraktar DIHA, after taking off with electric motors, will switch to cruise flight mode and only fuel engine is going to be active in cruise flight mode. There are three options for landing: vertical landing, landing on fuselage and parachute landing. The aircraft has a flight control system that can perform automatic route tracking, target tracking, circling and return-to-home modes.
