After the Karachi attacks, it is clear that IS is itching to bring the fight from Iraq and Syria to Pakistan and Afghanistan. Nevertheless, we still treat what is going on in the Middle East right now as something which is isolated from us.
It was the Afghan war which gave birth to the global Islamist movement, with thousands of recruits from across the Muslim world arriving to fight against the Soviet Union. With the Soviet departure and the fall of Najibullah's, where did al those militants go? Checynya, Bosnia, Kashmir, Egypt, Sudan, and other hotspots in the world. Will Syria and Iraq be any different? When the Iraqi government falls, IS will focus on exporting its Jihadis across the world, and Afghanistan/Pakistan will definitely be a prospective place to revive the militancy.
With the events in the past in mind, if Pakistan doesn't take an active stance in crushing IS, one way or another, we will be suffering in the long run.

ISIS has just taken control of another Iraqi city and are another step closer to taking over Iraq.
