AAD Test Fails "Missile falls down, catches fire immediately after its take off"

The idea of being immune is utter idiocy and weird as well.
There is no immunity when the average flight time between the two nations is 4-6 minutes.

All the AAD offers is some protection for the eastern most cities.

There was a reason that despite various ABM measures such as the PATRIOT and otherwise.. the idea of IRBMs in any country makes people nervous. Smell the reality, you live under the very high potential of being BBQd to nothing.. regardless of how many PAADs you make.

Lets see.. anything dragging in other countries.. etc.

Why???

This is a terminal stage defence. How does it matter as to "how much time a missile that has to be intercepted has spent in transit" when the whole sequence of acquisition, targeting, and Interception takes place in terminal stage.

Let me get this right, DRDO had a failed test and the Pakistanis jumped up in the air like it has never happened to SPD or NESCOMM.

My fellow Pakistanis are so delusional. God.

Another news am hearing says drdo will be ready to test it next by a month time frame, I guess they have already zeroed on the issue, this is typical development scenario, every thing people develop contains bug, its good if this glitch are removed in development phase itself rather then when they appear in production.

great work lately by DRDO I guess new government intention is clear for them, deliver or get privatized.

Is it a Partial success OR total Failure ......??

Today's test was to assess the performance of the new composite rocket motor and the missile's ejection from the canister. These two parameters were successfully tested. There was no actual target today - only an electronic one.

Any way these failures are always there. And even india struggles to build its own BMD ; israelis will step up and provide them with one..so pakistanis shud not let guard down and build counter measure ahead of time. There are some indications that maneouverable RVs and stealth long range cruise missiles are already worked on and need to be strengthened

Thank god It failed otherwise members here wouldve claimed its a Russian copy paste... Hehe

Nothing to laugh at,just more money needed, perhaps a few tens of millions of USD。

Money isn't the problem even ThaaD faced such failures when it was in its development stages it's a part of the game although failure rate is very less in this project 8 out of 10 tests were successful. In this case the another test will presume withing this month or So.

Interceptor missile fails; DRDO to conduct another test soon

By Anantha Krishnan M

Bengaluru, April 06: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) faced a setback today after an Advanced Air Defence (AAD) interceptor missile fell into the sea seconds after its launch. The missile was test-fired from DRDO's launch facility in Wheeler Island, off the Odisha Coast.
DRDO officials, who spoke to OneIndia said that they would be back with another launch of the missile by the end of April after studying what went wrong. "These are part and parcel of every missile trails. We had six successive missions of the interceptor missile. We suspect that one of the sub-systems in the missile might have failed," a top scientist not wanting to be named, said.

Still wont matter. The response and decision time is literally too low to decide.
Had India worked on a laser based system it would have had more prospect for success.
This system ensures nothing and in my view is akin to Reagans star wars program gambit which led to the Soviet Union spending billions to upgrade its own delivery systems for nothing.

Wont matter what you tell this dude. He's no better than Zarvan in his thought process.

The size matters little in distance. Particular reasons exist why Seoul isnt the ideal capital despite the number of Patriot systems defending it.

It offers tangible benefits...not a impenetrable shield, but the technology to work to that end...

End of the day, it's our offense that is the deterrent and, Indian forces are offensive in doctrine. Lasers will require infrastructure in place. What a successful bmd will do is add up to the layers of defense.
