I'm sure there are "takfiris" in every sect. But you cannot deny it seems to be extremely prominent in the Arabian culture. They seem to assume others are "deviant" if they are in slightest disagreement.

For one thing, I have never witnessed any Iranian in the forum calling Arabs Kafirs. But I have witnessed Arabians calling Iranians Kafirs, Shia dogs, fire worshippers and whatnot.

We all do ! I've seen many Shi'ite brethren of mine sneer at me disapprovingly because I just don't get how the 'Imamate' concept works and consequently I don't agree with it ? But damn me for actually castigating an entire sect by shoving 'Shi'ite this or Shi'ite that down their throats' for an overwhelming number of Shi'ites are outstanding people ! All I ask is that the same courtesy be extended to us Wahabis ! And mate...you do remember many of our conversations on 'Secularism', you would agree with me that my proposals were something that one might even misconstrue to be revisionism but has a single one of our resident Arabs called me a deviant ? In short...you reap what you sow ! Keep on labelling them, making a fun of their culture and traditions, their ethnicity and countries and then cry when they strike back in anger ! (And this was supposed to be all encompassing and not necessarily aimed at you)

I know about Shiism. While Shias consider Salafis to be misguided, they still do not consider them Kafirs/non muslims. They still consider Salafis to be Muslims. However, the same cannot be said by the attitude of the Salafi members here who have many times declared Shias and us who disagree with their monarchies to be Kafirs.

About our concept of Secularism, let me give you another example. You remember the pallywood topic where I logically supported Israeli stance giving my reasons? Yes and I was labelled Kafir by one of the Salafis (indirectly) today in one of the posts due to my pro-Israeli stance.

Is it fair, i leave it for you to judge. For a neutral observer as me, the hatred and self-righteousness certainly stems from the Salafis, not the other way around.

Where did I say that?? You are the one who needs to look at my post again. Maybe an honest mistake but remember this invention called "Wahabis" here doesn't exist. I ask these questions and I dare anyone to answer them:
1- Who identifies himself as Wahabi?? Shias say they are Shia. Sunnis say they are Sunnis. Sufis say they are Sufis. Who calls himself Wahabi??

2-What is so different about these so called Wahabis that made them a whole new sect?? Shias have a characteristic feature in their religion that made them separate but what is this characteristic thing in this "Wahhabi" thing??

Parseing semantics won't solve any issues. If I called some one a nazi and he says "no, I'm a national socialist," it would not change a thing. Call it what you will, islam as practiced in Saudi Arabia has issues, and anyone not following what ever you wish to call it see that it has a few "issues."
