TEXT OF STATEMENT

Statement of American Muslim Imams, Scholars and Community Leaders On the Ongoing Oppression of Uighur Muslims

In the Name of God, the Benevolent, the Merciful,

All praise is due to Allahﷻ and may the Creator send His blessings and salutations upon our master, Muhammadﷺ, as well as upon his family and companions.

We, imams, scholars and community leaders, hereby affirm and declare the following fundamental points:

We ask the People’s Republic of China to free Uighurs from its concentration camps, return children to their families, and restore their freedom of religion.

We call upon our neighbors of other faiths to support this demand.

We call upon fellow citizens to stop buying products produced through slave labor from these camps.

We thank the US government for raising the issue of human rights abuses and detainment in the concentration camps and ask the rest of the world to do the same.

We call upon all people to stand in solidarity with the Uighur people on April 6, 2019 in Washington DC.

The American Muslim leadership has been effectively usurped by the US government.

Notice that most of the signatures from this list are Muslim brotherhood or MB-affiliated mosques, seminaries, and organizations.

It is facing constant barrage of anti-China propaganda.

Any Muslim, like us, who is pro-China is being harassed and declared as a puppet of China.

Best way to fight it is let american people deal with their own propaganda. Muslims of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh saudi arabia indonesia should stay away.

I don't think ignoring the problem will make it go away. This is not good as 7 million American Muslims have a big influence on global Muslim sentiment as American Muslim scholarship is respected in many countries around the globe.

They all support China's effort to protect indigenous Hui and Uighur traditions against alien practices imported from Saudi Arabia (like a full body burkha). Yet, the same Zionists puppets say nothing about the Central Asian -stans and only slander China simply because Central Asian -stans pose no threat to America.
