Mohajem 92 - Iran's new armed drone

People that say these nonsense statements base their info on Global Fire Power a site that has Iran's Helo count at only 128 (Just ranked below Israel)
FYI Iran has 2 bases in Isfahan alone that hold 100 helo's each plus 2 other bases that hold ~50 helo's in Kerman another 50 at Shahid Ashraf Esfehani Base in Kermanshah & these are just the big ones most of Iran's Helo's are scattered in bases that hold ~ 20 or less like Mehrabad, Mashad Airport, Shahid Asyai, Tabriz,....
But Global Fire Power has Iran's Helo count at 128 & they give it an exact number to make it sound real so they can place Iran just under Israel!

Is Iran's Military budget too low? YES! But it remains higher than it ever was under Ahmadinejad while oil was at $100 per barrel! And Iranians need to be upset about the low defense spending

But the FACT is the MAIN reason Iran's has such a low Defense budget is because of the following

View attachment 375830

It's a bad pic I know but the fact is the money has to come from somewhere and Iran is spending as much if not more on Hejab, Islamic Guidance, Islamic advertising, Islamic teaching,.... Than it is on it's defense industry!

These are things other countries fund threw privet donations NOT with their government budget! Some may be necessary to be funded by the government but the vast majority ARE NOT!

It if was me this is what I would do
I would give each of them the license, Equipment & location to open up a TV broadcasting station in 1 province in Iran and I would tell them produce your own program, sell the adds tax free for the next 10 years to make up the funding for your activities for this is the last free thing you get from the government budget but be ready because we may start taxing you 10 years from now (As motivation)!

And I would take all that government funding and transfer it directly to Iran's Defense Industry!
 :sarcastic: :haha:
Co'mmon bro, how could you trust such a BS picture?
It's an obvious BS. As far as i know, president himself is the main manager of dividing budgets.
Don't disappoint us, get a brain brother. You really shouldn't believe in that BS.

Mohajem (attacker). Why still Arabic names for theses military equipment? Where is the language of Shahnameh and Hafiz? I am sure a pure Farsi word could have been used. The Mullahs are strange. Don't they provoke their own people with choosing foreign names?

Well as far as I'm aware Hafez didn't use pure Farsi words

Islamic Republic of Iran so their for uses names with Islamic Significance!

yea ... this one I think is better to stay in design phase

Feels like .... backflip to the past

This aircraft seems small, how much can it carry and how long can it fly?

I understand the motivation, but there have been an over-use of Arabic names to name Iranian missiles, drones, and other military hardware. Persians hate to see the influence of a foreign language, especially Arabic on anything that belongs to them.

I haven't read Hafiz, but naturally in his era, using pure Farsi words in everything he has written was simply not possible. But, as I said before, Persians hate Arabic being spoken, written, or used (anywhere they go, but especially in their own country). They consider it to be anti-nationalistic to use Arabic. The Islamic Republic has its own ideology which does tolerate Arabic to a large extent. Actually, I often feel (without being sure) that the percentage of my understanding of any Persian written text increases when the writer is more religious, or pro-Islamic Republic. But again, the Islamic Republic's ideology is not the same as the people's ideology. Persians consider it to be, somehow, demeaning to know Arabic. It is fashionable to show that you know less Arabic. Showing more of knowledge about Arabic means you are probably religious or boring person. Also, Arabic classes are among the most hated ones for Iranian students.

well rabic is hated but not for the reason you mentioned .
it's hated because its useless and no one speak the Arabic language they teach in schools. if i want speak arabic according to what they teach in schools no Arab lives or Dead can understand what i say and what made me hate those classes was ثلاثی مزید

I know, they teach it in an extremely classic way that only professional linguists can understand. But you seem to simply dismiss the other reasons I mentioned out of hand. You can't tell me that there won't be any truth whatsoever in what I mentioned. By the way, I am not in favor of teaching Arabic in Iran.

well there are circles which knowing less Arabic in them is fashionable but believe me there are as small as the circles who believe knowing Arabic is sign of grandeur . more than 90 percent won't care about it they just care about the grade they can get from it . and its not like because they teach it so bad in schools that it is nearly certain that this lesson will lower your university entrance exam score for majority.

But dont you realize that since Islam originated in Arabia (and Quran is written in arabic), muslims in general from around the world will still have to know/interact/speak/write some arabic?

That's absolutely true, except for Persians (or at least a fairly big percentage of them). They want to distance themselves from Arabs and consequently Arabic b/c they firmly believe of Arabs' racial inferiority.

Thank you. I actually didn't mean students, I meant people who have left schools and universities for good (say a guy in his mid 30s). Students will dislike any class that will give them headache. What I primarily meant is that Persians hate Arabic being spoken, or being used whatsoever (especially inside Iran). They think accepting it for even a small degree is an anti-nationalistic thing to do.

Relation between Parsi and Arabic is like that of English and Latin. There are a lot of Latin words used in English to the point that English people don't even consider them Latin anymore. Same is true about Parsi, there are so many words borrowed from Arabic that has been used for centuries. We use them everyday and don't feel bad about using them. We consider them part of our language. However, if there is a Persian word for a thing, then we certainly prefer to use that instead of an Arabic or English or French word.

That is what I am saying, there will be a Farsi word to be used for this drone. When you said :"if there is a Persian word for a thing, then we certainly prefer to use that instead of an Arabic or English or French word". My surprise was why to keep over using Arabic, while Farsi names are abundant? You have to give me a pass, a lot of Iranians really hate using Arabic names for anything (babies or otherwise).

And apparently there are a lot of Iranians who love to use them as you see. There really isn't a predominant attitude towards use of Arabic names and words. Believe it or not, we are not racist.
