Chandu Babulal Chohan, a 22 year old Indian soldier from 37 Rashtriya Rifles is allegedly in Pakistan custody.

Albeit his arrest and under what circumstances he was captured remains open to question however the Indian officials have so far given several versions of the story from being a deserter to having inadvertently crossed over with latest episode claiming that he had an argument with his seniors and walked off in a huff and must have crossed in a spurt of anger.
For a moment, let's assume and believe any of the above Indian version of story alas a solitary soldier crosses into Pakistan and is instantly captured by the Pakistani security forces. Under normal circumstances he may have wondered around for sometime before getting picked up but since there has been tension on the border for the last few weeks, both sides are even more alert and keep a vigilance against any misadventure from the other side.
So, when a single soldier didn't go unnoticed and is picked up immediately, we are led to believe that several dozen Indian soldiers enter some 3 KMs inside Pakistan at over half a dozen different points and carry out assaults on the so called terrorist launch pads lasting for some four hours and then return back to India unscathed.... doesn't seems incorrect but more delusional to say the least. When the Pakistani security forces were expecting some misadventure by India and Indian forces are also aware of Pakistan's alert status, thus any mission would have been nothing less than suicidal. Your thoughts please.

Hi, what can we really expect from the people who were caught and exposed celeberating their fake war trophies by painting pakistani flags on their own crashed/destroyed Migs, couple of days back on this forum?

Crossing into Pak Territory wasn't something that even their DGMO mentioned at all. Indians should first ask their DGMO to give further details of operation before being convinced to believe what their media is trying them to. Because yesterday we saw how they were retractring their claims of using choppers.

ok, so let us believe that the lone soldier did indeed have an argument and walked off only to later inadvertently find himself behind enemy lines.

His are very different circumstances from a planned special forces cross border raid in the dead of the night, would you agree ?

Exactly the point, then one wonders after being exposed repeatedly, the Indians still blindly believe what's fed to them.
No questions asked no proofs given but all are ready to believe that India has scored against Pakistan.

Only thing which come to my mind is that they raided a forward base across LOC in cover of artillery fire and end up being toasted by Pakistani troops.
Those who were killed while climbing the hill, their bodies are still there and ONE soldier who managed to avoid fire fight preferred to surrender instead of ending up in beaks of vultures.
And now THAT guy is KEY, if there is really a Indian soldier captured......... (Pakistan military have denied it so far)

And this ''failed raid'' is now termed as surgical strike to glorify a failed insurrection attempt and cover up by celebrations and mass propaganda so that Pakistan may not get chance to bring this issue to lime light.

Apparently this is the reason India is not releasing any details since part of the strike package is now in Pakistani custody, they are aware that he has spill the beans..... and obviously Pakistani authorities are keeping quite about the capture only to reveal him once India makes out some details.

Yup, Pakistan response will appear after Indian response. They are also curious to see what and how Indian authorities will manage ''proofs'' to prove their claims ..........

If the whole "Surgical Strike" thing claimed by India is really fake, why does Pakistan make a fuss about it ??

What is the need to try and engage UNSC P5 ??

Nawaz Sharif had informed that Pakistan can too conduct surgical strikes. Why ??

I believe that since it's expected for any such operation to be only conducted at night, hence there is even more vigilance at night.

Well after so called surgical strike
Indian army chief visited iok and replaced brigade commander of URI lol
Today again escalation and pak retaliate back with Indian men lose

They are pissed to see level of mass propaganda.
If your enemy start shouting in streets that he raped your wife (which in reality he didn't) then how will you respond despite of knowing that he is lying?
I guess your response will be first logical, you will deny the claim with logic but when that ''logic'' will die in high pitch shouting then how will you respond then?
You will be angry and you will be furious.
This is what is happening. Pakistanis consider it their insult in similar way ..............:-)

Got the point?

I would say that there did happen something unusual, there is something which both sides are hiding. Although Indian side is exaggerating the situation alot and not a single main stream media outlet confirmed their claims, everyone was quoting as india claims and pakistan denies. But even on pakistani side there is something which is not being made public. Prime minister calling all these meetings, capturing indian soldier, there is something unusual happened. Any comments please?

The clearest proof is the reaction in Pakistan

Cabinet meetings held
Complaint lodged at the UN
Hafiz Saeed promising to give Indians a taste of their own medicine
Opposition leaders making comments
Envoy sent to China

Etc etc...why so much smoke fire and din if nothing happened?

You are unnecessarily wallowing into the technicality of the operation and other events that have taken place.
What ever the definition of surgical strike or capture/straying of Indian soldier makes no difference in diplomacy.

Indian diplomacy achieved its goal of putting pakistan in tight spot. Consider the two scenarios..

1) No surgical strike took place bcos border was heavily fortified and no one could cross it. This means even terrorists cannot cross the border without connivance of pak military. As such any terrorist attack will put the blame squarely on pakistan.

2) Surgical strike did take place (watever its definition).
This puts pressure on pakistan to retaliate if not make them look weak to domestic jihadis and public. India cleverly said the strike was against terrorist launch pads but not against pak military. As such if pak military does retaliate it will be show cased as support for terrorists. No retaliation will end up in loss of face.
