JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

Ok this my thread have been merged with the JF-17 multirole fighter thread, but no body gave me answer I asked, here is again I would like to repeat.

1. What is the cost at which the FC-1 is been offered to Burma and how different is that from the PAF Block 1 or block 2.

2. Is there any voice raised in Pakistan for the sale of JF-17 regarding Rohingas Issue in Burma ?

3. What is FOC status of JF-17, or did the PAF have issued FOC to it ?
4. Can anyone post night flying operation of JF-17.
Listen dont you worry your pretty little head about it, let the countries who sell jets worry about the details

1- JF17 is very adaptable and can carry a variety of weapons from across the world, so final price depends on the specs the customer requires

Personally Nigeria seems to the first country in line to receive the jets, if the specs are different to what the jet Myanmar requires then so will price

2- who cares, if the RSS speaks out against muslims will indis drop relations with iran or Saudi or Bangladesh?

3- Not everything follows the certification protocols of india, the fact that Pakistan is slmost towards inducting 100 jets and already a few countries have purchased or are on the hook should be sufficient evidence of the jets combat readiness

4- someone elses task

Kid first learn to give respect on an open forum

1- JF17 is very adaptable and can carry a variety of weapons from across the world, so final price depends on the specs the customer requires

Does the thick head could not understand a simple statement/question, which block of FC-1/JF-17 is been offered to Burma/Myanmar

2- who cares, if the RSS speaks out against muslims will indis drop relations with iran or Saudi or Bangladesh?

Does anybody mentioned RSS, and religion is something which is personal belief, and should be kept at home/heart/mind and away from defence matter. The question is wrt to the article which suggest that, the sentiments of the people which the govt. of the Pakistan have to explain to its people. P.S even the news of the deal with the Myanmar was kept secret as the unnamed Asian Country for a while. Hope it does not require any Size of the Head to absorb.

3- Not everything follows the certification protocols of india, the fact that Pakistan is slmost towards inducting 100 jets and already a few countries have purchased or are on the hook should be sufficient evidence of the jets combat readiness

Its a pretty norms, and every Airforce follow the procedure. For your sake

Initial Operational Capability (IOC)
IOC can be declared when one or more subsets of the capability can be deployed on operations. IOC considers the personnel, training, major systems, supplies, facilities and training areas, logistics, support, command and management required to deliver the subset of capability required.

Final Operational Capability (FOC)
Final Operational Capability is declared when the entire capability can be deployed on operations. FOC considers the personnel, training, major systems, supplies, facilities and training areas, logistics, support, command and management required to deliver the full capability required.

4- someone elses task

Whose task ??

3+1 squadrons have been deployed and Indians are still questioning FOC, this is a surprise for me. At least 65 aircrafts have been handed over to airforce. I don't think PAF needs to advertise IOC and FOC. Did they do that for F-7PGs, anybody remember?

To the topic, had somebody reference to the news about Asalan targeting pod?

1. No details for any negotiations has been released yet. JF-17 is very competitive but since the market is pretty cut throat and politics plays a factor, all sales related information is under wraps. Prospects for sales are growing for the JF-17 ever since advent of Block-2 version and Block-3 will be very interesting as well. One of the concerns for export were since PAF has it's own requirements to meet first it won't be able to make jets for export till local requirements met. PAC is addressing the manufacturing capacity issue and will be able to boost production for export in parallel. Secondly some export clients (Middle East) had a requirement for two seater, which is in the pipeline as well. It is likely in 1-2 years several sale negotiations would have reached final status.

2. No alarms raised yet. JF-17 is a PAC & Chengdu joint venture, if the deal goes through I would assume Chengdu will be at forefront not PAC to avoid politics.

3. JF-17 is operational in 3+1 squadrons and has logged 19000 flight hours. It is beyond IOC and FOC stage by now and a fully functioning system. The lone crash was the result of aircraft external sensors not restored to default setting after data collection for the flight simulator resulting in aircraft being over stressed in air. It was ground crew error (you will have to read up yourself on this forum if want to find a source). Having logged 19000hrs in just a short span of time is testament to the aircraft's reliability and operational availability.

4. As of Block-2, which all aircraft have been upgraded to, JF-17 is all weather, multirole, has quad fly by wire, uses greater composites, Link 17 Data link (PAFs new customized datalink) and carries all the weapons it has been advertised to use (Block-1 had limited weapons integration). Has full night and precision attack capability. Its been active in Pakistan's war against militants just along with Mirages and F-16s. The F-16 received more publicity for the anti militant support role as we need to keep emphasizing the Americans its usefulness to Pakistan.

CFT is good concept for jf17 with 800-1000 liter per cft over the wing root and fuselage will elevate the need for under wing drops which could be used for other stores, with wing root strengthen and external load over 4000kg and max takeoff load over 13 ton perhaps makes this easy

The question is $$

The question has never been $$$$ on this program. It was for China to come up with the Tech the PAF wanted, the time to test - mature the tech and weapons, AND in regards to your post.....it was an engine issue. The previous engine (RD-93) wasn't as high powered as it needed to be. The MA version would now give the PAF the thrust they needed. So the CFT's may become a reality. You can't let a Donkey lift the same weight as an Elephant does. Unless you turn the Donkey into an Elephant first. Sorry, wrong metaphor but I am sure you got the meaning  :enjoy:

At last some one with Decent answer. Thanks brother and you gave a good point, the politics, and the inter country relationship plays an important role in acquiring an order.

No one is pointing on the capability of the JF-17, and a single crash dosen't prove, that it is not of flight worthy, but my question for FOC, was related to acquiring all the capabilities of JF-17 have been acquired or not. If yes, then I think, its time that PAF could declare its FOC -- meaning all its capabilities have been proven and certified, which will help in the sale and marketing in an competitive market.

Thanks for sharing that JF-17 is used sucessfully in full night and precision attack missions, but I why I am unable to find any night flight of JF-17, if you have pls share sir. @HRK @Manticore @MastanKhan Sir could you post a pic sir.

I think you should stop repeating inquiring about FOC, there is no doubt it is a fully operational aircraft, it has full certifications. It had to receive the certifications prior to squadron induction. PAF probably shows all the certifications to prospective clients but I don't see any need to reveal those documents to public.

" the JF-17 PMO is managing all aspects of design and development process and is overseeing the complete process till its final certification."

Regarding night flight, there are several videos of it making night take off and landings (PAF recruitment songs). As for inside cockpit night pictures I doubt you will find them as those are rare for even other PAF jets. Maybe pictures will pop up down the line, but you will have to wait.

From RD-93 blockade, stuck in sichuan to this, these guys will stop at nothing. My suggestion would be to stop feeding the troll, they still think the JFT was inducted without clearing the IOC and FOC certification. Let them think and burn their wigs.

Irony is that previous Marketing Director of JF-17 put the blame of JF-17 on Pilot in one of his interviews

Jf program overall target is around 300, initially target , paf committed to 150 and rest either plaaf or pln plus export

Paf needs more than 150 actually around 250-300 so actual number is going to be 250-300 minus what ever is the final number of F16 paf get

Current fighter inventory counting no 1 fcu is around 350-375

This guy is no enthusiast, he is a pro (indian military intelligence) looking for sensitive info
