Back then Makkah was not a village but neither a big city. Makkah looked like most other Hijazi cities back then architectural wise. Now it's one of the biggest cities in the ME. Time changes and so does the appearance of cities. But as I have repeatedly stated then the surrounding mountain villages and parts of Makkah have plenty of heritage.
