Wa alaikumussalam

You don't want to celebrate Mawlid ? .. Don't do it ... it's your choice, bro
You don't consider it "Eid" ?, You are entitled to your opinion

As for textual evidence form primary and secondary Islamic sources (for celebrating Mawlid), there is enough.
What is the situation with rest of the ummah? Does Turkey, Saudia Arabia, Algeria, Iraq etc celebrate?

Naah I didnt fancy it...Was listening to it first time in my life

The lyrics is deep and the melody is great. I think it is the most recognizable religious song in Indonesia. I bring the latest version of it. You also have a great taste of music . Maybe we can start making thread for religious song....

Considering the amount of normal reverence one sees in Turkey it is likely so.
Saudi Arabia is also wrongly labelled as some overly mawhid society as during this time(and even otherwise) every other person is reciting durood and salam and this was a personal experience seeing Saudi men recite an arabic naat and say salaam.

The more extreme variety of the green turbans from Pakistan however caused a lot of issue when they started their own prayers in the Kaaba and in Medina and went overboard.
