A couple thousand of these riot police and specilaized riot control equipment can be able to control these TLP goons.
Its imperative to see riot police separate from normal police especially in a country like Pakistan where violent protets have become a norm. Infact I would suggest a separate riot control department under an IG level officer like traffic and motorway.

. . .
Every mob has a psche and riot control is a science. Why don't we employ latest tactics and develop a force around it. We can learn a lot from China in this regard. See how heavy handedly they handled the protest in HongKong which were 100 times more severe than these TLP protests. Punjab police is not even trained to handle the normal policing operations. Riot control is a bit too much for them.

I agree with you. This is regular problem in Pakistan. In Turkey even if they get 10,000 mob they have the ability to control them because of highly trained paramiliary police equpped to deal with mobs.

Police is generally under funded, under trained, under equipped, corrupt and generally utilised as glorified security guards of VIPs.
Thiss.

Police has been reduced this level to benefit VIP culture. The day police became organized and trained, politically funded mafias will vanish and the business of many will suffer.

What about Rangers? Should they not have the manpower and training? Shift 10,000 Rangers and line them up. Nobody even be able to fart.

Because western style riot control doesn’t work in Pakistan I.e riots in Pakistan are about stone pelting.

.
Why not send rangers from karachi. They are expert in everything. They will control this choas.

. .
Mix wings of rangers and police shud b developed for riot control

Rangers will shoot first and ask second which might exacerbate situation.
Right Sir but don't you think these policemen have already exacerbated the situation by getting abducted and becoming a bargaining chip in the hands of these TLP protesters.
I believe tsuch riot control operations should be swift. You go in for the kill. Arrest all the top leadership. Scatter the protesters with a swift yet powerful push and occupy the important positions to stop them from regrouping.
The incompetence of police gives these terrorists time to build a rhetoric in their favour over the social media which gives impedence to their protest. At the end the state suffers.

Then a 10,000 man Federal Riot Control Police needs to be raised. Give full riot gear, water cannons, training, mobility and ith logistic support so it can operate as a organic unit in any location. It should have rapid response ability.

And they should not be deployed with guns with live ammunitin. Instead rely on massive numbers, batons, smoke grenades, CS gas etc.

Might be true but we can tailor the westerns tactics to suit our circumstances and there should be some seperate speciliazed force for it.

Exactly. Rapid response is a must. The longer the protest continues the more the chances that people will side with protesters as it gives them enough time to build a rhetoric. And sadly our goverment cannot curb the social media trends.
