Why are SO Many People Alive Today?

.
Humans on average in past use to die off around 35-38 year mark due to many incurable illnesses in Past. So it was common for them to Marry around 12 to make up for Low length of life

People die off from

a) Flu /Common cold
b) Pneumonia (Still one of biggest killers around)
c) Malaria
e) Plague (Due to wars and dead bodies lying around or filth )
f) People also died due to War wounds , wounds from Knives / Swords or cut wounds being
infected after the war ended
g) You could step on a rusting metal piece and next thing you know you have infection in foot
h) Fever
i) Child birth deaths
j) Polio
k) WAR ... and hand to hand combat

Diseases were transmitted easily , as people did not took showers like they do now. Water was limited

Also due to lack of availability of Oil / Petrol you can only travel a limited distance on foot or horses so your spread of gene pool was limited to 10-40 km zone

You lived in that 10 km-40 km zone and that was your life, and you tried to not die due to illness

Not just illness but improvement in technology that result in increase in affordable food and water that led to increase in pollution.

I personally have survived , few items which would have killed a person in ancient times

Natural Occurring
0) Common Childhood illnesses , was vaccinated for Polio
a) Chicken Pox
b) Jaundice visit to Karachi :coffee:
c) Pneumonia Diagnosis, almost a week long recovery
d) Flu (I catch it at lest 1-2 times a year every year)

Artificial Causes
And I have survived a T-bone accident with SUV where my car was destroyed

Some duchebag was late for meeting so he did not stop at Traffic light rammed full speed into my car which was half way thru turn

Seat belt + My last min adjustments kept me safe

The point I am making is ...... every Human on planet to great degree have some Immunity to 10-20 causes of early death vs Ancient times

The only areas where this may not exist are places like Siera Leon / Somalia etc ....

Sub saharan Africa will be the largest continent by population in the coming decades. Nigeria might surpass even China in population.

Just let that sink in. Countries like Congo needs to have strict population control otherwise it'll be a disaster. Congo is on path to have more people in entire USA!!! African population will be a huge problem for all of humanity in the future. They must be helped and coerced to control their population until they develop and can get on their own feet.

Even poorer countries outside of Africa....India, Pakistan, Philipines, Vietnam, China (especially of 80's, 90's)...could afford their growing populations as these countries, even though poor, had significant industrial base of their own, large and capable militaries, a robust education system, agricultural and management supply chain, and a history of having exceptionally advance civilizations in the past---and hence showing that building a new advance civilization in future won't be a far-off for these lands.

However, in case of Africa, ALL of the above is missing. It will be a disaster when sub-Saharan Africans reach 4 billion in number and still growing fastest in the world. Its a life of perpetually getting dominated by bigger powers (West, China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia whatever), trying to migrate out en masse forever, and having unstable, undeveloped societies.

All developing countries of today---India, Pakistan, China, Bangladesh etc etc---had similar levels of GDP per capita as sub-Saharan Africans in 1960's etc. Literally ALL countries outside of sub-Saharan Africa have raised their GDP per capita to FAR higher levels while sub-Saharan Africa remains stuck in high-population growth, low productivity cycle. The window is fast closing with dawn of AI and closing down of the mass manufacturing age that provided jobs to hundreds of millions across the globe.

Industrialization of Medicine production has accelerated Human Life span

However the Expansion in population size means , less world resources to live off and eventually it will create a global tension also known as war for resources which would eventually reduce human population back to 5% of what it is today

There are only 2 outcomes

1) Humans populate Solar system or Moon and distribute some population out
2) Wars , which would eventually reduce all population globally by 95%

Example WWII , 1/3rd of population perished due to war and Plague virus

In future huge people will die in nuclear wars which are coming near

Due to advances in medical sciences (treatment for a wide range of diseases), and industrial revolution (advances in methods of transportation, and safety measures for livelihood).

The median age of humans have jumped from 35 to 70 during the course of 20th century.
