What's new

Which one of our Indian members is this?

The way some of these South West pilots land the plane I feel the same way.

I was on a flight once to England and the turbulence was bad and I mean really bad, the whole plane was shuddering the passengers started panicking lol and this teary eyed woman taps me on the shoulder and asks me if it was normal and I reassured that it was, even though it wasn't. Surprised the wing didn't snap off the plane lol. Flying back to England soon so I hope plane doesn't do anything funny else I might start screaming "I am going to die today".

I’m not gonna lie, but the video posted by OP is me internally every time I’m on a flight. I don’t even like anyone else driving other than me, in a car.

These goraz and bhartoads mostly get drunk and pass out on the flight so they can avoid fear and anxiety. I keep watch of the air hostesses and stewards. If they start to panic you know something is going south.

Pakistanis are mostly chill passengers, but then you get the ones that get drunk and want to fly the plane…

Anyways, on my last flight back from Pakistan, I was flying in Qatar Airways. This was during Covid so each passenger got like 3 or 4 seats.

I was on window side and got 3 seats to myself. The seats next to mine in the middle there was this Tajik girl. Modern russi type. She was so terrified when the plane took off she started reciting some dua which had me laughing because she was dressed like model/ho. Not to judge, but I was thinking that zikir of Allah swt comes at the door of death for a lot of us.

To finish the story, when we were landing, she started to tense up again and in my head I thought ‘Chalo baji, twanu Khuda ek dafa fer yaad kara leine’a..’

I had 3 monitors in front of me which I had access to since I had the 3 seats to myself. I switched them to the camera views of the plane in real time. Landing gear angle, panoramic, some angle from the top. The girl could see my monitors and tried to tell me to turn them off. I pretended like I didn’t know English and kept saying ‘huh?’.

Man, by the time we landed this chick was shaking and reciting something again and again.

His reaction looks over the top and doesn't seem to be a case of 'nervous flier'. Nervous fliers normally cling to their seats and say a prayer, or in extreme cases will start crying. Also they would never say 'help me', because they know that if the plane is going down, nobody can help anybody.

Hope she wasn't shaking because of you? I can just imagine what must have been going through her mind, probably thought you were Indian.

Ye @jamahir socialist he ya Amish?

The Amish value humility and simple life. @jamahir is chronically obsessed with declaring himself the most important IT guy in Asia, a handsome man whom random girls gush at on the rare occasion that he is in a public area, and wants to colonise Mars. That is so far removed from humility and simplicity that if he was lobbed into an Amish village, the Amish would break their own vow of pacifism.

Honest question. Do you ever feel bad for the guy? I did for some time.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. He starts attacking people personally and that is not a good habit. Before he got banned he said something about me too, but I ignored it and still don't hold it against him. Yes life deals you some lemons, sometimes more to you than to others, but you also get opportunities to take control of your life instead of wallowing in misery. You can't be whining 100% of the time. I wish he introduces some positive influence in his life and makes something of it.

I've tried to avoid having fun at his expense as I kinda feel sorry for the guy but he made an issue out of something insignificant. He got personal with me too but I laughed it off.

But then he starts about religion and characteristically, doesn't know where to stop. I ignored that but it did leave a bad taste.

I also wish the guy gets a life and starts to have fun. If he doesn't then there is only one other solution. @-=virus=- would be more than happy to help with that.

I don't mind having fun at his expense, provided he is unbanned and can respond 🤣

Peeth peechay vaar karnay mein maza nahin, something I am quite guilty of 😐

No. It is a panic attack. Nothing to do with nervous fliers. He's most likely suffering from undiagnosed schizophrenia too. I had a friend with similar behaviour but he was on medication and his anxiety attacks were not so wild.

Okay, you left a like emoji and not a laugh emoji. That tell me you haven't watched the video. Seriously, you will not regret those 4 mins. John cleese is worth his weight in gold.
I wouldn't have shared otherwise.

There's two kinds of people in the world.

There's @khansaheeb who tried to comfort an old women scared on a flight due to turbulence, even though he was worried himself.
And then there's @lastofthepatriots who went out of his way to scare the shit of a scared girl.

I didn't watch it. I leave like emojis also as an acknowledgement that I have read the post. But since you insist, I will watch it.
