Some more suggested threads
1. most powerful muslim airforce / top 10 muslim airforce
2. most powerful muslim country / top 10 muslim country
3. the best mango producing country

On topic : my vote:pakistan.

Considering alliance its Turkey, NATO, NATO Nuke sharing
Without considering Nuke and Independent power its Iran.
If sovereignty is the factor its Iran, Indonesia ..............
Technological advancement and strong economy its Turkey.
Man its a tie between Turkey and Iran. :undecided:
It is CERTAINLY not iraN
the zulfiqar class tanks are 2nd gen -- the saegah are 3rd gen fighters , the midget subs and old cobra clones are mass produced-- dont know if they have ALCMs?

Secondly there is a difference between political will and actual military might -- these 2 things shouldnt get mixed

But the point is that,in a stand alone position they stand strong. Even if imported weapons, they successfully managed to maintain,copy,modify to use them and more over they are posing a stand against US successfully. Even managed to hack and capture a US UAV.I doubt other nations ability to do it without external assistance and weapons and support.

what iran is doing is commendable keeping in view their oil reserves are helping even in the face of embargoes.. however mass production of a generation old products can take you only so far as the counties getting ToT / JV production will start having a definate qualitative edge and it will become difficult for iran to keep pace e the advancements

what pakistan is doing is going for JVs in those systems which already has proven/tested technology -- this saves time in r&d aswell as saves money , while not compromising too much on quality

j10-->jf17
type99-->type902m-->ak

pakistan also went for ToT in the agostas and zulfiqar class frigates and learnt important steel cutting methods from the french etc--- what i mean is , pakistan is using its meagre resources intelligently inlight of the partial technological embargo we are facing either due to economy or foreign unwillingness to sell top notch stuff

I went away. Came back and there are several pages more here on this thread. Having slept on it everything is transparent.

I don't particularly like these contests with everyone getting excited about who is the best etc.

However how can you ignore Pakistani nukes. Nukes are the ultimate weapon and you can tell with all the fuss with Iran and the west.

The thread title is which army is the strongest. It has to be Pakistan no doubt whatsoever. Pakistan Armed Forces which is far from perfect and has weaknesses I accept is at the moment by far the strongest.

We haven't even discussed ISI which is often discussed and compared with the best in the world. Which other Muslim country has an intelligence agency that even compares to it.

For Indians and others who find it difficult that Pakistan is good and strong at anything this speculation of what if Pakistan didn't have nukes is futile because we do have them.

Excluding Pakistani nukes is like saying A is stronger than B if we tie B up. :pakistan:

The Turkish military hasn't had any combat experience in recent times so that should decisively put Pakistan at the #1 spot if there was any uncertainty

You can't be serious. Turkish Army is fighting with terrorists, is fighting with Somalian pirates and fighting with the Greeks in the Aegean.

We invaded Cyprus succesfully, since 2000s we are invading Northern Iraq routinely. Turkish Armed Forces (Land Forces, Air Force and Navy) was in Yugoslav Wars, now in Afghanistan and Somali. What is other countries' "combat-experience"?

Some people in this forum claims Turkey has no industrial base. We have no natural resources, no industry by your logic, still the strongest economy in the Muslim World.

And BTW, Turkey is hosting nuclear bombs.

B61 nuclear bomb - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Those nukes are not controlled by Turkey. NATO will decide if, and when, to use them, not Turkey under NATO nuclear weapon sharing agreement.

Dear, whatever combat experience you had, it is not superior to pakistan's army. Which has been fighting 4th generation war since the last 5 years.

Though that may be true, but Turkiye has limited low-intensity combat experience in the past decades. The last major combat experience was Operationa Atilla 1974. Invasion of N Iraq was still limited combat experience.
