Exactly. Nuclear weapons can be a deterrent against India, or China, but not against US. US has enough nuclear weapons to carpet bomb a complete nation, also with the size of nuclear bombs US has, 3 would be enough to send Pakistan to stone age.

US won't even need to use nuclear bombs. Its conventional bombs are more devastating that Pakistani nukes. Not even India or China can look up to US in a war.

BTW, Pakistan's nuclear arsenal can deter against India long time ago, but they believe they should develop the long range ICBM to deter against the bigger threat.
