sorry for not replying yesterday.

i watched the first 35 minutes or so, and then kept doing half-hour jumps... frankly, it turned out to be a waste of my connection's download capacity. :-)

sam harris is not really a true atheist as he claims... he is a typical anti-islam anti-socialism bigot pretending to know all through having a phd and appearances on media.

cenk uyghur, though a well-meaning person, is not very aware either of islami principles or geopolitics... he didn't respond properly whenever sam used such cliches like "saddam was a dictator we supported"... no mention there of how irani mullahs has been supported heavily by western bloc since their coming to power in 1979.

sam says that he doesn't have problems with muslims but with the concept of islam... he was being so patronizing but at the same time being a apologist for western crimes through the centuries... i don't believe he ever mentioned all the socialist muslim countries created since the end of world war 2... nor would he have mentioned the western government support for the reactionaries among muslims in the western bloc seeking of regime-change.

i could have sent sam harris packing in half hour if i was in place of cenk.

further, you asked me to watch the reza aslan interview... i didn't because his interview's title complained about the "neo-atheism" is western mainstream media... there is no real atheism in msm, just a fashionable pretension of looking enlightened while bashing the very concept of islam... reza aslan doesn't seem to be tariq ali even... reza seems to be the "approved muslim" who is allowed dissent as long as it doesn't interfere with western government strategic affairs... he seems like the female nobel "peace" prize co-winner for 2011, tawakkul karman.

but i will look at his interview and see if i am wrong.

cool... I think cenk came out winner in both interviews... he does not want his guest to be uncomfortable, at the same time he has his own views which he is willing to back.
both reza and sam kind of told half truths.. although both are very sophisticated and smart in their response.
 
Meh even reza aslan doesnt know real islam. Bunch of pseudos.

sophisticated... i don't know... people like them use debater's tricks and pretend to listen to the interviewer and pretend to be generous in accepting wrongs but then it turns out this was just a ruse to demean their real target... example, sam harris condemns the "old testatment" for its cruelty and immediately says it is worse than the quran. :lol:

i would love for cenk to interview the chairman of the "communist party of usa".

by the way, is cenk uyghur connected to the turkic origin uyghur people of china??
