What caused overpopulation in Pakistan?

So essentially you advocate destroying the environment and people's well being to keep money circulating. Not intelligent at all.

I personally think Pakistan needs to take the positives from Western Society when it comes to industrialization and other economic initiatives to turn the population into its greatest asset.

However it should not follow the demographic shattering policies of the West and other Western leaning countries like Japan. Japan is a dying nation now that will have to import (and already is) foreigners to try and assimilate them to reverse the demographic issues they caused themselves.

USA has to continuously brain drain the smartest people from overseas while allowing every random who reaches the southern border to cross illegally to take the lower end jobs. Demographic slowdown is a big reason though not the only one as to why America HAS to do these things.

So Pakistan needs to provide opportunity not condoms imo to its people.

At current rates Pakistan will approach USA levels of population bb 2050(366 million versus 458 million).

It is thinking like this that has allowed Pakistan population to surpass 200 million many years ago.

In countries whose economic development is dominated by agriculture, there is always the problem of overpopulation. With the development of industry, the urban population continues to increase. The birth rate will gradually decrease. If Pakistan's GDP per capita reaches $5,000, the population will stop growing. Pakistan's per capita gdp to $8,000. The population of the country will gradually decrease.

Most of the high birthrates are in rural areas where the land is very fertile. It is more fertile in the case of Pakistan (and probably other countries) because the lands have been irrigated to produce more food than their natural carrying capacity.

Little did the government and the other morons involved in these irrigation projects know the disaster they were creating.

By sheer size, maybe. But probably not by ratio. By ratio their population is much smaller for their landmass compared to Pakistan.

The Northern states are frozen out during winter and many have mountainous terrains. Southern states are mostly semi-arid deserts so by ratio they're not as fertile.

Besides they export much of their food abroad.

Bangladesh is running out of space for fertile land. That kind of population density in any species stops the growth.

PS- Balochistan is larger than all of Bangladesh and has only about ten million people. It's desert landscape does not support a large population.

Stop comparing it to Bangladesh, you are a smaller country with not as much space, and fertile land, it's not the same thing as pakistan whose population density is just slightly above Nepal in south Asia- and they're living in Himalayas for crying out loud

Yes but you also need the calories to grow it. Pakistan has too much fertilized land which allow the population to grow unnaturally and exponentially.

Fertile soil and bad government policies that is now barely able to sustain the population.
All those in favor of more children really just want to have more sex without condoms but cannot really justify it so they use Islam as their excuse.

Eventually, desertification of fertile land will solve Pakistan’s population or Pakistan itself will implode and take care of it. Nature will correct itself.
