What's new

What can Pakistan learn from Bangladesh?

Every day our dumb ministers has to make comments. Vietnam signed free trade agreements with eu. Why dont our foreign minister work on that instead of making fucking comments. Same guy also said husband wife relationship with modi and hasina. Lol. Circus of hasina government...to be continue.

.
Look at reality, BD $40b exports vs $25b for Pakistan. External debt $105b vs $33b for BD. Pakistan economy is borrowed from others. Only Pakistan remittances and imports have grown in last 10 years, not exports.

If Pakistan losses ability to payback debt then foreign lenders will reduce development funds and with it less GDP growth, like its happening right now under IMF. Meanwhile BD with just $33b external debt have great potential to borrow even more for huge infrastructure projects.

Which is why I believe in coming years BD external debt will increase exponentially, huge potential for infrastructure projects without worrying about going to IMF.

Pakistan lost last decade because of war on terror, maybe we will learn and do better this decade.

What God awful English. The sentences make no sense, it's like a 13 year old ESL student wrote it.

I was taking to our bengali friends here and mentioned how bengalis are obsessed with us..... Well just more proof, and that from the government itself.

You will never see such childish comments from the Pakistani government.
No one in BD is obsessed with Pakistan. It is the other way. Enjoy what your PM talks about Bangladesh. It will perhaps open your eyes.

What is economic prosperity, that one you see on papers or the one you see on the streets

For countries still having significant poverty it is

Decrease in child mortality
Increase in literacy
Improvement in nutrition
Better health and long life

.
Having a better economy does not mean you are not a backward country. Good for you that your economy is progressing but lets be clear that you haven't faced the challenges Pakistan has faced over the years and despite those challenges we are going strong. But yes, credit where it's due.
We never tolerated terrorism, be it the mullah or the pandits, we shot every mofo that tried to create problems in name of religion... in India and Pakistan this was not the case and hence they are suffering.

What is economic prosperity, that one you see on papers or the one you see on the streets
Both

We have dropped almost seven ranks due to the dollar depreciation so all of a sudden Bangladesh is an economic miracle? No it’s not.

making cloths will not make them economic giant
Cloth making certainly made China a giant. However garments/ textiles has already started shrinking... diversification process is underway for alternative industries like ship building/ IT/ pharmaceutical/ car/ tech manufacturing industries

I love the fact this thread didn’t become a troll fest and good discussions is underway. Cheers to both pak and bd brothers

PM if pakistan only has good things to say about BD.
BD government only says nasty things about pakistan.

It's clear to everyone who is acting mature and who is childish.

And if no one is obsessed with pakistan, then why on Earth did hassina mention us in her UNGA speech?
What purpose did it serve outside or sheer obsession?

We, Paks, wish all the very best to the good people of BD!

May you live long and prosper!

However, such petty articles/silly ...and yes, malicious statements by the BD politicoz don't help in the reconciliation process...

In election time ... politicoz go overboard...all nice and dandy...but after that everybody should focus on delivery...

Nobody should underestimate either Pakistan or PakSpirit...

We faced 10 years of utter EconomicTerrorism from two regimes... combined with War of Terror imposed on Pakistan... we lost 80+k PakLives and $220+Bln (The Economist) to PakEconomy...

We have to stop moneylaundering and severely curb imports... and continue with deep structural reforms...however painful they might be.

The current GoP has taken some very unpopular steps and fruits are coming forward...but Pak shall continue with reforms and restructure PakEconomy to be more competitive.

Deindustrialisation of the past decade is being reversed... SEZs are coming online...

Documentation of BlackEconomy is another challenge... and for now we are taking a gradual approach...but we will continue down this road nontheless!

Both as PakState and in PoliticalDiscourse we have conciously benchmarked ourselves with China... and compared to the Chinese we are at least 30 years behind...

As we have unofficially adopted the ChineseModel of Development... we shall see results coming in accordingly...

Just a helpful reminder to our BD friends... with only doubling our agro output we can add 60% to our GDP...and this is not some nanotech... work on this has already begun... we are moving towards Agro-industrial framework... this is one of our key areas of focus to eradicate poverty in Pakistan.

Furthermore, it is imperative to understand that invocing culture of Pakistan where both imports and exports are shown differently to stash the money abroad @ps3linux @Sine Nomine we export more in IT ValueAdded than these are shown... since the money gets parked outside...

Moving away from import driven GDP growth... is a painful transition...but luckily we are out of the woods...

Pakistan is in the process of establishing Textile Export City... to encourage the Chinese and other investors... with our past record and a supportive GoP this will have massive impact on Dollar/Yuan earning...

With doubling our per hectare yield we can double the meat and milk production... and there is $3Trillion+ Halal meat market...

Then there is slow progess on petrochemicals as well... With Gawadar OilCity coming online within a decade... the impact on our import bill will be positively severe...

The point I intend to make here... is that we are happy for BD.. all the very best of luck... but kindly, don't become Ganguz...
I fear soon we will be hearing that BD is going to a superpower by 2030... that would be sad development.

Pakistan has to work like there is no tomorrow for next 30 years ... NOT to impress anyone...but just to provide jobs to 60+% of Paks... Pakistan is a very Young!!!

Just an example of what Paks are all about... have a look at JF Thunder... how we went about it...and where it is now... and this is ONLY Growing... AZM is already Conceptualised... and far more is being done...

Pakistan is Pakistan. We are Better than nobody. And NOBODY is better than us!

And NO.. Pakistan is not becoming a superpower any time soon... if at all... and Frankly, if someone says so...must be bannished from public life...

For next 30 years... Pakistan is working harder than ever before...and there is sign on the door: Dont Disturb!

Pakistan has not even the Right to Call itself anything even when there is One Pak living under the poverty line...

That is the reason we are talking Peace, Peace and Peace....

One does wish that BD stops uttering nonconstructive statements... and realise that it is surrounded by a FacistHindutvaCountry!!!

You might end up needing Pakistan's Help down the line...

Arrogance must have solid underpinning to have an effect!!!

Regarless, all the very best to the good people of BD!!!

Every nation that isn't on top, follows the ones leading the trend. However, Momen seems to be claiming as such just that there is so much obsession & SHW has to be satisfied for her hatred/ego against Pakistan. If to go by the definition of Momen; how many countries are way ahead and being followed by Bangladesh. Mentioning the word Pakistan was so necessary and everyone here has to understand. What they don't understand is that Bangladesh hasn't seen the ups & downs of history, the maniac like TTP/ISIS/BLF/BLA & many more, an enemy like India at one border who is 7 times bigger than us & posses anti Pakistan hysteria that we even fought more than couple of wars and then an invaded yet war torn country like Afghanistan on other border which also hosts many of our enemies including India, having a neighbor like Iran being threatened with war by world powers and risking the peace which ultimately affects us and then a continuous hot zone such as Indian Occupied Kashmir and above all, being a Muslim Country & Nuclear Power at the same time that attracts a lot of hostiles at once. So all in all, if Momen can reach to the level as what Pakistan is; I am sure he is all right to claim as such but that's just to satisfy himself & many in league. Sorry boys.

Around 40 billion dollar export! Just for your info!

Recent report mate that Bangladesh will be too 25 economy by 2034 and one of the four trillion dollar economy among Muslim countries beside Indonesia, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately Pakistan won’t be in even too 40 economies despite having around 30% more population.

Do you know what will happen tomorrow let alone 15 years

Pakistan obsession is rampant in india and being followed by Bangladesh

I wouldn't blame Bangladesh in general for such obsession but since, SHW is in office; everyone is well aware of her diarrhea against Pakistan hence, the pleasing attitude for India. Momen sahib has to go through such kind of situation before calling his party an achiever in such regards.

Our ministers aren't speaking garbage suddenly. It's their habit from ages. That's the reason common Bangladeshi middle class abhor politics. But the question is, why such comments from any minister of Bangladesh will be a thread in this section I am unable to understand. Such threads are unnecessary imo, because such topics just agitate people here.
