Wearing Hijab Not An Essential Religious Practice, Says Karnataka High Court

it is frightening how the radicals have quickly taken over and influenced many Muslim countries that were once quite normal.

Maybe it is time for the rational, sensible Muslims to do a hijrat to sensible Muslim-majority places like Syria, West Bank Palestine, Algeria, Bangladesh etc and help develop them and overthrow the Western-government-backed irrational mullahs and their followers in other places.

New Delhi:
A hijab is not an essential religious practice, the Karnataka High Court said today in a huge setback to students who had challenged a ban on wearing the hijab in class. Five petitions had challenged the ban in court.

Ahead of the order, the state government banned large gatherings for a week in state capital Bengaluru "to maintain public peace and order". Mangalore too banned large gatherings from March 15 to 19. Schools and colleges are closed in Udupi today.

The Karnataka High Court had temporarily banned religious clothes, including Hijab and saffron scarves, last month as the controversy snowballed into protests and a face-off between different sections of students.

Karnataka High Court decision to uphold hjab ban is deeply disappointing": Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.

Beleiving in allah is also not mandataory practice
Indian supreme court

Muslims should pray in mandar like hindus as prayin in mosques not mandatory
Indian supreme court

Now we have to learn Islamic practices from heathen hindus? lol

Hijab is a mandatory practice for Muslim women. But, they are free to choose if they want to practice hijab or not.

Indian hindus are behaving like mad dogs these days...

How can something be mandatory as well as optional (free to choose) at the same time?

Yes, if you think Pakistanis "obsess" over you because you are the "rulers" of the subcontinent, you suffer from brain damage.

Literally no one sees you as such. They see you as a victim bullied in your own home, nothing more.

Muhajirs in Pakistan would have never travelled if they did not believe in it, or at the very least did not fear for their life.
Pakistan/Bangladesh left Biharis stateless in refugee camps. Your ideology is really an ego trip based on willfull ignorance, fear, and hate -- similar to Hindutva. Difference is Hindutva don't kill other Hindus, while the Muslim world massacres Muslims like there is no tomorrow.

Mandatory under religion and mandatory under the state are not the same thing

Another person cannot forcefully make a Muslim woman wear a hijab, not even under Islamic law

And neither does God magically make a hijab appear on your head, it has to be a conscious choice you make after realising/accepting it's mandatory

So Indian Muslims - students especially - need to rise up not to demand real human rights like free housing, free healthcare, free education etc but to demand what is not really an Islamic garment but a Jewish one ?
Lol, Islam is an Abrahamic religion. No? Pardah is mandatory in islam.
Adding to that an Egyptian Muslim woman parliamentarian and academic, Amna Nosseir, has researched on this and has called for ban on the burqa
We are talking about Hijab not burqa.

Anything that is mandatory cannot be optional.

If hijab is mandatory in Islam, then it cannot be optional in Islam.

It is not upto the individual to practice it or not, Hijab is mandatory and if someone is practicing it or not shows the level of Iman in HER (as Hijab is for women, men need to cover their head with hat)

Practicing Islam and being a good Muslim is a choice. Nobody can make a good Muslim with forceful enforcement of Islamic laws. Islam forbids it...

What is this good Muslim bad Muslim 🐂💩, why are you guys so bad at logical reasoning?

It is mandatory in Islam

If a woman refuses to follow these mandatory rules, she is sinning.

(Which is the Muslim women you see without hijabs, just like the many Muslims you see who do not pray 5 times a day)

We all know Hijab and Pardah is mandatory in Islam. Individuals who want to be good Muslims will follow Islamic laws and individuals who don't care about Islam will not. It is a choice...

Good. So a Muslim woman who does not wear hijab is a sinner. Did I read it right?
