What's new

The plan is Hindu Rashtra, my lords, the hijab is a smokescreen

No it is not

It is pro-choice.

Bleek bhai, it seems pro-choice but such things are never. There was a girl on TV from that city Shimoga where this started. She said that she and her friends are stuck between her parents who want to force the burqa on them and the schools and colleges who want them not wear the burqa. There are of course a few misinformed and misguided girls like Muskan who are stubborn in their choice of the garment and carry out "My burqa is my pride" marches but mostly it will be her and her supporting misinformed and misguided "community elders" and their foot soldiers who will enforce the burqa on those who don't want to wear it. These people create an an environment of oppression and suffocation.

In Afghanistan in the the fear kingdom of the Taliban some females are kicking and burning the burqa in public defiances and here in India these made-by-media prominent girls and their supporting groups are speaking in favor of the burqa. Quite a contrast. During my school and two college years no girl wore the burqa, not even a headscarf. That was their choice - real choice. The burqa fanaticism of now among some is a recent thing. Why does the media not show the views of those females who are forced to wear it ? Their discomfort and suffocation ?

the other, larger, main body of Indian society
Yet another example of blind, religion-driven hatred. It has nothing to do with what is happening to Muslim Indians. Everything to do with the raison d'etre of a section among Pakistanis.

What about the countless women who choose to wear it willingly?

I know plenty, not everyone fits into the category you've described.

It's true
I've quoted the numbers so often that it is now a boring exercise.

None as blind as those who don't want to see.
None as ignorant as those who don't want to know.

That, in no way, denies the existence of a significant section in Indian society with hate-filled views.
Just to point out that Muslim Indians, liberal Indians alike find themselves between Scylla and Charybdis.

You live in Britain and there last year a Bangladesh-ancestry female teacher, Sabina, was murdered, most probably an honor killing done by a Tableeghi type :

From the reports she was a liberated spirit, independent and not like these current agitating South Indian girls. What do you think she would have made of Muskan and her misinformed and misguided comrades ? :)

I don't think she would've cared as long as it was their choice and they were not being forced...

I don't see your point.

Imagine Sabina teaching in a school where every Muslim girl is burqa'ed up and living in Shimoga city where most Muslim females are burqa'ed up. There would be daily pressure on her by mob-appointed community elders and also the burqa'ed females to take up the burqa. I live in the Deccan and the burqa is just ubiquitous. Wasn't so in my teens so who brainwashed these females to wear it ?

Not in a society which is pro-choice.

Your issue is with the garment alone, and why women choose to wear it. You don't care if it's their choice or not...

When I was growing up in the 90s and early 2000s, our Muslim friends would support Pakistani cricket. It did not cause any issues or fights.

I don't know about that but a female Christian co-worker in my company ( one that I co-founded ) liked Shahid Afridi.

This was Nizam's Hyderabad kingdom. Adilabad is near Hyderbad city.

Muslims of the former Hyderabad kingdom are attached to Pakistan. There is nothing in it.

They were provoked by the Islamophobic film

We must remember that it was one of these traitorous Hyderabad nizams who collaborated with the British army against Tipu Sultan.

Orders of Forcefully putting Hijab or forcefully removing Hijab, both are wrong.

Hypocrisy is what Hindus are going through. These idiots themselves don't know their Bhagvt geeta and try to act Hindu.
