if you remove nuclear factor, russia can overpower UK simply because they have numbers. USA is ofcourse at different level.

Actually they don't.
They can attack from the north. That is obvious even from the article that the best way to attack Britain is from the north. and that's exactly the way which will suit Russia the best.

RN will be there no matter what direction you come from. Did you forget that Britain is an island?

So again the best way for Russia if it ever wanted to attack Britain. and if the US was not a hurdle, will be to attack from the North. No need to waltz through the whole of Europe.

Ooh yes they can.
All you need to do is search about the arctic convoys. If Britain can do it during WW2, they Russians can do it too.
Just run the convoys in return thats all.

The only economic threat to the West came from oil. But that was decades ago. Since then, the US has gained the upper hand and you will find that the oil-sanctions will be disastrous for the Arabs.

Russia has not been able to threaten W.Europe except with ballistic missiles. It's strength comes from fighting on home turf where other armies have failed. Apart from that, it has almost no military technology that Europe can not outmatch.

As for single country, name occasions where Russia has been able to occupy France or Spain or the UK. It does not have the capability for that.
