Watch: Queen Elizabeth II shocked by ‘very rude’ Chinese officials ahead of state visit

D’Orsi went on to complain about how the visit had been a "quite a testing time” for her. She recalled how Chinese officials had walked out of a meeting with her and British Ambassador Barbara Woodward, telling them “the trip was off.

Because unlike former colonies especially Africa and India...the Chinese do not worship the queen..

Dude, we are talking about the Chinese here, what US did is independent to what Chinese did, as I say, two wrong des not make one right.

You can open a thread and talk about how rude US diplomat is for walking off meeting if you want, this thread is about the Queen calling the Chinese Rude for walking off the meeting. What US have got to do with this?

Dude, if my friend went on to rape some people and got away with it in court for whatever reason, would that mean it is legal to rape women and I should do it?

Queen Elizabeth II was not amused. Britain’s monarch has been caught on camera complaining about the rudeness of Chinese officials during preparations for last October’s much-vaunted state visit by President Xi Jinping.

The queen was filmed talking to Metropolitan Police Commander Lucy D’Orsi at her first garden party of the year in Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.

D’Orsi was introduced to the queen as “gold commander,” in charge of security and emergency services during Xi’s visit.

“Oh, bad luck,” the queen said.

D’Orsi went on to complain about how the visit had been a "quite a testing time” for her. She recalled how Chinese officials had walked out of a meeting with her and British Ambassador Barbara Woodward, telling them “the trip was off.”

“They were very rude to the ambassador,” the queen said, also referring to the incident as “extraordinary.”

D’Orsi added: “It was very rude and very undiplomatic, I thought.”

must be part of the culture

there a lot of ''rude shocks'' n surprises awaits to this monarchy if she thinks chinese were rude to her by her former colonies.

Dude, I also said we are talking about the British calling the Chinese rude, in what way this story have ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE AMERICAN WALKING OFF??

You have a serious problem regarding English Comprehension. I never took my point off walking off an official function is rude, you can call an American rude for doing so, I will not object you, but that does not mean since the American is doing it, the BRITISH cannot think this is rude if the Chinese does it..

Please, there are something about an inch above your nose, that is called "BRAIN" use it once in a while it won't kill you

ARE WE DISCUSSING THE AMERICAN OR THE CHINESE IN THIS POST?

I never said it is fine for ANYONE - AMERICAN INCLUDED to walk off a meeting, go find a news about American walk off a meeting, and open a thread if you want, this thread is ABOUT THE RUDE CHINESE DIPLOMAT.

I will ask you one last time, what this thread have got to do with the American??

I wish so. It was not, but it is becoming so. Which is good.

And tough Trump-ish people better get used to it before further humiliation.

Anytime when it is necessary, it will be done repeatedly in the future, as well.

Nope, Chinese are always rude everywhere they go, doesn't matter if it's in China or overseas.

If you overheard someone talking loud on the phone, chances are those are Chinese
If you ever heard about someone talking in the cinema,, chances are those are Chinese
If you saw spits on the floor, chances are, those are Chinese
If you saw something is broken in historical site, chances are those are the Chinese's work
If you saw someone is touching something inappropriately, chances are that someone is Chinese.
If you saw someone arguing in a restaurant for tips, chances are those are Chinese.
If you saw someone trying to slip some money to the policeman, chances are that someone is Chinese too.

So, nope, I think that's pretty routine to me.

you mean like this :D

At least one strong country from asia now a days india is bowing down to everyone in the name of fdi

@Zsari

You are off topic, this particular post is not about how American being rude nor how Indian being a rapist country, you can have your own view on the subject, just open a new thread and discuss it there.

Have enough of this off topic diversion. Either you can claim China is not rude, or British should not be commenting on it, Keep dragging on United States and India in a UK-China Situation will get you no where, thus all post on this particular thread about US or India or any other country other than UK and China will be reported.

Had enough of this round and round discussion. If you want to get ban from derailing topic, be my guest, I will neither reply nor quote you on this post anymore, and all post not regarding the UK or China will be reported immediately. Got it?

Obama has some mindset that he needs to respect Kings or Queen, regardless their country of origin. But he does change the behavior after being criticized by Republican during visit in Saudi.

Obama has good manner though, during his visit into Indonesia he is so humble during the dinner, he is the one who comes to every persons sitting on the state dinner table to shake hand with them.

Well like I mentioned many times, Chinese people need to stop putting white people and any other groups on a gold pedestal. This isn't Qing dynasty. China is not a technologically backwards country anymore

I hope Chinese officials do this more often. If negotiation is going in circle, the best thing to do is stop the meeting and walk out. No point wasting everyone's time.

Obama is an uncle tom's negro. The intelligent blacks know this and that's why they don't like him.

Exactly。 In diplomacy, at times, symbolic acts have greater effect than words.
