Watch: Queen Elizabeth II shocked by ‘very rude’ Chinese officials ahead of state visit

Diplomat don't just WALK OFF an official meeting. They are called Diplomat for a reason. Especially it is for a high end state visit.

Of course you do. That's a negotiation tactic and a form of protest. How many times have the US walk out of an official negotiation? How many times has the US walk out of the UN assembly?

Some kind of weird mentality. Two wrong does not make one right. It is wrong for US to walk off any meeting, It was wrong for China to walk off any meeting. I see some people have no problem blaming the US when they did that, yet when the Chinese did that, it's okay.

Just that we aren't talking about American Diplomat walking out of a meeting and some people try to defend their action. We are talking about the Chinese here, you can go open a thread and start talking about how American being rude and storm out whatever meeting, you won't see me go there and start defending them like someone's action here.

In short, what you said does not have any relation WHAT-SO-EVER to the topic at hand.

Then what would you call this, "the lizard of blacks"?

Paul Keating was famously dubbed 'The Lizard of Oz' after he was photographed placing his hand.....

The two situation is different............

1.) The etiquette on touching the queen is quite simple. Don't Touch the queen unless she touches you first or she invite you (like a handshake).

The queen actually did wrap her hand around at Michelle Obama first, and it can be interpret as an invitation to reciprocity under the situation.

2.) Touching the queen is illegal for British Subject, which means Paul Keating was actually breaking the law when he touches the queen. While there are no law regarding this to non-British subject, due to complicated culture background, so one can argue Michelle Obama did nothing wrong because American do not observe this culture.

No, the queen did not wrap her hand or invite her. Take a look at 0.33.
Bret had to forgive simply because she is the American First Lady.

she did on another video......you're are cut before the queen also have a hand on michelle

Watch this one, the commentator explained the queen touch Obama first.

If the queen does not want to be touch, she probably won't wrap around Michelle O waist as well. So if the queen does it too, who are we to talk about it?

The Chinese are at fault here, but I like the fact they are rubbing it in the faces of the Brits.:china:

Queen must have mistaken the leader of that other billion population country for China.

Indian leaders are used to worshipping the Queen so she probably expected that from Chinese leaders too.
LOL

No you are wrong as always. Walking off in a heat negotiation is the proper thing to do. That's business 101 teaching for you, right there. In fact, it is an advance form of negotiation when things are going nowhere.

LOL

Dude, it's clearly you have no etiquette what-so-ever.......

Walking off FROM THE HOST is a sign of rudeness. Especially you are the invited guest. You are not talking about an "Equal Footing" meeting. Where you are walking off if you simply not liking it.

I don't know where you do business, but if you walk off to a function I host, I am pretty sure you will never heard from me again.

But knowing you are just a hack from China, what do I expect the kind of etiquette you have? Barn Yard level I presume? Probably don't even know the different between a soup spoon and a dessert spoon. It's like asking a southern hillbilly to attend a black tie after 5 function, they would probably bring their own 6 packs. lol.......

Once again, you are WRONG. The guest ALWAYS in the right to walk off in a negotiation room if he feels the talk is going nowhere because where would a host walks off to? Not only that, it is rude for the host to walk off on a guest who come to negotiate a business deal for his boss. For instance when you are negotiating a car deal or any deal for that matter, the buyer (guest) is always in the right to walk off from the seller (dealer) because it is YOUR right and you should absolutely employ that tactic if you feel the dealer is pressuring you.

Typical nonsense from your lack of negotiation between guest and host. Go ask people with business credential who is in the right to walk off between a guest and host and come back to me.

lol, the guest always have the right to spit on the floor, like Countless Chinese have been doing in all over the world for ages, have the right to do so does not make it less rude.

Also, it is NOT your Perspective on being rude, it's the British High Society and their opinion on whether or not it is rude, nobody is forcing the Chinese to attend the meeting in the first place. So, if you accepted the invitation, you need to follow THE HOUSE RULES. not your rules.

Just because you like to spit on the floor and punch the host in the back does not means it is not rude to someone in a different culture. Doing so may seems rude to someone but not you, but to that someone, he or she have to right to say that you are rude.

Again, you should take my advice not to attend any formal meeting that require a suit, some people are born to belong to chucky cheese, and you sir, are one of these people.

We are talking about proper conduct in negotiation between quest and host so next time, stick to the subject.

The majesty's perspective is to expect everyone to bow to them in negotiation while our official believe all should be treat equal. That is the difference in perspective how one was rise up. For British who rich come from robbing the world and always live a life of rich, they obviously don't understand the commoners who got rich by working hard.

Again, A bunch of bull trying to shift the blame. What she think she is or what you think about the queen is not THE MATTER OF THE DICUSSION here

Nobody force the diplomat to go to the UK and have his meeting with the British Diplomat, if he accepted the invitation, he have to follow the house rules. If the Chinese diplomat think the queen is all that and the queen does not deserve the respect, he can refuse the invitation from the get go. You go, you disrespect the host, you got called rude, then it's on you. It's that simple.

If you go to a mall, you follow what the mall dictate what is appropriate behaviour, you got ejected from the mall for not following the mall rules and you try to blame to the mall because the mall does not deserve to make the rules? Do remember nobody force you to go to the mall in the first place.

People like you deserve in economic class treatment, again, never ever attend any formal function if I were you, you would be ending up like a big arse.

That was obviously a symbolic message on part of China's diplomatic team. Looks like they got the message.

The message is simple

Royal Hugs

Nice diplomatic gesture. Symbolic as it was.

UK power elites must have taken the message.

They must be glad that we did not call them "Old Europe," unlike some US officials of untamed arrogance.
