What's new

wat if TTP says they will drop their arms if we pull out of US WoT?

well you say TTP is not only a separate entity but also the enemy of the Taliban.

Shouldn't they then fight TTP.

This afghan taliban is also In Pakistan

TTP is also In Pakistan

we all know TTP is fighting Pakistan.

What is the other Taliban doing ?

where are they ?

Taliban are in Pakistan as well in Afghanistan, The Taliban which are in Afghanistan are working against USA for which US need more force, the taliban (real one) which are in pakistan, are actually those who run away from the fight, or left the battle when usa attacked, or went back to get prepare for gorrilla warfare. They have nothing against Pakistan. some do exists at waziristan area which are in peace deal with PA (read more about strategy of Tehrik-e-nijat). Similarly there are civilian taliban as well present at some areas which are un-armed.

TTP is the creation of the agencies who are working against Pakistan, so if they surrender, then PA should arrest them and get out the information from where & how they are getting weapons money and otherstuff and do everything to make no future TTP come out again.

Wrong information. TTP has been there for a while - even before 9/11 - but never had support or power. They were able to get support from Lal Masjid siege and funding through india to make them pretty strong. If you knew demographics of Tribal areas, you'd know that TTP and Afghan Taliban are in fact enemies of each other.

They are enemies? how can you be so sure about this?

"If you knew demographics of Tribal areas, you'd know that TTP and Afghan Taliban are in fact enemies of each other."

Horsecrap. If YOU know the demographics of the tribal areas you'd know that too often they share the same lineage.

Baitullah Mehsud took FOUR trips into Afghanistan in the late 1990s to assist the afghan taliban's implementation of sharia after taking over.

EjazR has it mostly right. The TTP was formed in December 2007. That wasn't the beginning, though. It was the formalization of a process that had started in the 1990s, accelerated in 2001 with the introduction of large numbers of afghan taliban and foreigners (read Saudis and uzbeks) into the tribal sanctuaries, and an incubation between 2002-2007 where these elements increasingly infected Pakistan's own tribes.

Explain Omar's plea to enlist the Pakistani taliban against Afghanistan please if they are such enemies? Explain why the TTP fled north to North Waziristan and directly into Haqqani-controlled lands if they were such mortal enemies?

Animosities are there. Rivalries exist. Treachery abounds. When, though, hasn't it within FATAville? That said, where's the open conflict between the afghan taliban and the Pakistani taliban?

Two sides of the same coin and if someday the afghan taliban again have their way in Afghanistan then the Pakistani taliban will have all the sanctuary they need to make unlimited war on Pakistan and, believe me, all the afghan recruits necessary to do so.

TTP come mostly from Mehsud tribe. They are surrounded by other tribes who form Afghan Taliban. Those other tribes are enemies of Mehsuds. Musharraf stated this several times in his interviews.

S-2, you're the one speaking "horsecrap". Here we have yet another armchair expert from US talking like expert on the taliban. I just stated in my last post. TTP were mostly in SW. They were surrounded by Afghan Taliban. It has been repeated several times - not just by me but by people who live there and Musharraf - that the people in North Waziristan and western end of South Waziristan - who are part of Afghan Taliban - are enemies of TTP.

Baitullah took trips to Afghanistan, but I am talking about their foot soldiers - their recruits, etc.

You're saying Omar said he wanted TTP to join fight against US occupation - I've never seen that, but I have also seen him and other Afghan Taliban saying they have no association with TTP.

Quit trying to win a lost debate. No matter how much you spin it and try to make them look like the same group, you'll lose. They are NOT the same group and in fact if you notice their tactics, you'll realize a big difference - mainly the much higher use of terrorism by TTP as compared to Afghan Taliban.

Tell me which tribes they are and where did you get the reports of their conflict with each other?

.
TTP come from Mehsuds. They are rivals of Hafiz Gul Bahadur (part of Afghan Taliban) and Maulvi Nazir (part of Afghan Taliban). That's why TTP never go into North Waziristan - at least not part of North Waziristan that's controlled by Gul Bahadur.

Which tribes? Perhaps S-2 would be able to give a bit information about Hafis G. Bahadur and M. Nazir as he sometimes talks about them.

.
TTP mostly consist of Mahsuds tribe in SWA.
Although there are some rivel groups like abdullah Mahsud group now commanded by Zainuddins brother Misbahuddin Mahsud or Toufan Mahsud.

Gul bahader and Nazir both belong to wazir tribes. one from uthmanzai wazir and other Ahmed zai wazir.
according to wikipedia

When Baitullah Mahsud made TTP , intially Gul Bahader and Nazir became its member but then due to Baitullahs Takfiri Policies and Forign support made Waziri allience.
