I want to see if we can practice a little democracy among Bangladeshi members to decide on how to manage the threads in Bangladesh Defense section. I appreciate people's input in the other thread and we will continue the discussions, declaration of approved rules, enforcement etc. in that thread. In this thread we will just vote. Now lets see what people want. Questions we should vote on:

1. Do we need improved thread management, or the current situation is fine? Yes/No
2. Should we have a single thread for some specific important country relations for Bangladesh (Myanmar-Bangladesh relations, India-Bangladesh relations, China-Bangladesh relations etc.) , or should we have multiple threads for each country? Yes/No
3. Should we have a thread for any breaking news or should we post the news in existing country relations thread? Yes/No
4. Should we assign some individuals for creating new threads and the rest of us refrain from creating any new threads unless it is absolutely essential to get notice of other people? Yes/No
5. Should we vote on calling some posters as trolls and then decide not to reply to any of their posts? Yes/No
6. Once we reach a decision on the above, then it will be easy for people to follow the agreed upon rules by only posting on approved threads and reminding Bangladeshi members if and when they violate our democratically established and agreed on rules. Should we start a thread management rules regime like the above? Yes/No

Please note, without participation democracy does not work, so we need your kind participation (Bangladeshi members only please).

This forum runs enlightened/benevolent dictatorship, and it works fine.
I dont think your little democracy will achieve anything, especially in bd section where people call each other traitors, fight with each other based on pre determined agendas rather than issue they are discussing.

You can give your suggestions to the management of this forum in the suggestions section, they don't follow a democratic process. So even if you have 100% support from the BD members it doesn't matter. The decision will ultimately be taken by the management. :meeting:

Yes.

Bangladesh-xyz relations threads should only include the important events, aspects and trends of a bilateral relationship and should act as an informative thread instead of encouraging flames and one-liners.

4. Should we assign some individuals for creating new threads and the rest of us refrain from creating any new threads unless it is absolutely essential to get notice of other people? Yes/No

No. Members here are not employees.

5. Should we vote on calling some posters as trolls and then decide not to reply to any of their posts? Yes/No

Yes, one thread dedicated to electing 'Troll of the Day' by BD posters only.

6. Once we reach a decision on the above, then it will be easy for people to follow the agreed upon rules by only posting on approved threads and reminding Bangladeshi members if and when they violate our democratically established and agreed on rules. Yes. Also you can always post wall messages to communicate with any member for any purpose.
