Vietnam welcomes Indian warships at its ports

.
I believe you 100%.

There is just a VERY delayed reaction. After all, we have already touched your naval ships, we have already had a war with Vietnam, and we have already invaded India. All three points have already been done.

Now we're just waiting for you to "F**k us up". So far it's been 50 years and counting.

Patience is a virtue.

Sweetheart, you will require a supercomputer since it will still be counting!

OK, so there have been MANY boasts of India "F**king up" China.

But the question is, do the people who say this, actually take it seriously?

Why r these chinkis :china: having an orgasm over here........over 1962.......that's past & dead & buried.....

Our friendship with Vietman is deeper than the Ocean & higher than the skies.......just as u say when u reach :pakistan:

so, judging by the way China is entangling herself in conflicts with Japan,Vietnam and Philippines- IN should protect peace loving countries like Vietnam from any aggression. At the very least, send Arihant SSBNs there as soon as possible because is worst comes to the absolute worst, it can launch Sagarika SLBMs from there to shanghai.

Veitnam says more Indian warships are welcome to its ports

By ANI | ANI – 16 minutes ago

New Delhi, Sep 2(ANI): Vietnam has said that defence cooperation with India has been going since 1980s and Indian warships are most welcome to its ports.

Talking exclusively to ANI, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Tan said: "India and Vietnam have close defence cooperation since early 1980s. Indian Warships have been visiting Vietnam since then. We think that such cooperation is now strengthened and developing rapidly."

"We welcome Indian ships to our ports," Tan added.

Vietnamese envoy was reacting to a report published in London-based Financial Times, which said that a Chinese warship confronted INS Airavat shortly after it left Vietnamese waters in late July in the South China Sea.

Although Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Defence Ministry have rejected the reports ofonfrontation, but India confirmed that its warship was contacted on open radio channel by a caller identifying himself as the "Chinese Navy" stating that "you are entering Chinese waters".

However, no ship or aircraft was visible from INS Airavat, which proceeded on her onward journey as scheduled, according to a MEA statement.

Vietnamese envoy further said that the reported incident will have no effect on the defence ties between India and Veitnam and more warships are expected to visit its ports.

External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna will be visiting Vietnam later this month, while Vietnamese President will be coming to India in October.

China is getting more and more assertive and is hardening its position on South China sea which it claims top be its waters. By Naveen Kapoor (ANI)

we all must be more cirumpspect in our reactions to the news....Indias postion is for right of navigation on sea's .....so the visit must be seen in this context....All the rection and hope for an anti china alliance is just too much noise and India's position is balance between enhancing relations with every one not at the cost of any one.....whilst also calibrating its options and response to any real or percieved chineese threats with maturity and judgement....India with growing economy is as much going to need china as much China will need us....so the context of our relations is still evloving and must be seen from te realistic pradigmis of the Asia 50 years down the line and not with the context of 1962/ 1975/ WW II ..else....but that said ..we must enhance our capabilities significantly to mainntain the balance of Naval power to reasonable level whilst keeping in our economy and our interests in mind.....decipher this now..:)

Diplomacy is as important a component of power projection, as the mightiest ship the fleet of navy aspiring to become a Blue Water Force.
Good Move! I'm sure Vietnam would reciprocate the gesture by providing security to Indian interests in the region especially in South China Sea.
