Big bad Vietnam is ready for action! But why is Viet not in rank 30 of military firepower?

Submarine fleet in 6 years?! By that time China will have overpassed Russia in military firepower rankings. Vietnam why fight? You WILL lose. You can't beat them join them.

We already surpassed in Russia, that website is just pure BS.

How can India rank above France and UK? Even SK and Turkey are ranked above France?

and then we can use own money for further purchasing to upgrading our navy.
What a stupid reply. We don't actually give you any cash, we just build the infrastructure first and collect money later. Most of the money is our profit margin anyway. Of course the infrastructure we build for you will have certain "weaknesses" to help our military attack.

It seems that Vietnam wanna become a part of China.

Cowardly Vietnamese men will hide behind women and children when we attack them again! They are already getting them prepared to charge at Chinese with bombs strapped to their bodies.

This time there will be no USSR to save Hanoi from being annihilated, and Ho Chi Min will be next!

I see a Qin's terracottic soldier on your avatar but have you ever read Suntzu's "The Art of War". As it said: the matter of warfare was not the matter of military power.
We weren't even deserved to be ranked in the list of "military firepower" when we fought the French at Dien Bien Phu. Sir, should we join the French?
In the Vietnam war, under US army, naval and air firepower, our main weapon was AK-47. Sir, should we join the American?
In the Korean war, the PLA was nowhere in the rank of military firepower. Sir, should the Chinese join the American?

"You can't beat them join them": just simple, huh? If it was, there should be only one country left on the Earth today.
In a island as small as Singapore, it could be acceptable, but just keep it as your private secret, please don't tell others.
There is a word in English dictionary so called "Independence", you'd better have a look up to understand what people around the world feel.
Good luck!

P/S: But I still found your idea very interesting, and familiar too. Hey, whenever there is war, why we have to go to the battle filed and all the soldiers fight to the death. Why don't we just calculate how much firepower a country have and announce the victor later.
For example, before China and the US gonna fight each other, we just need to count how many airplane, battleship, aircraft carrier, artillery, bullet, bomb, artillery shell... each side have to determine the winner. Suppose China has more than the US, then the US would surrender, China would absorb the US and the PLA march in the Time Square.
Bravo! Genius! Right? No deaths, no bloodbath. LOL!

:rofl:We do not have many permanent army. However very many of our people will be soldiers when we was invaded. As you can see, in 1979, our women could win a mighty army.:cheesy:

that doesn't change the facts:

1. vietnam is never industralized, the vast majority of parts used in those ships need to be imported. it is not ship building nation, it is a ship assembling nation. how many vietnamese navy ships bigger than 5000 tonnes are built in vietnam? 0, you are right, because vietnam simply couldn't affect to have one, not to mention to build one.

one day vietnamese, always loser.

2. vietnam's shipbuilding industry simply doesn't exists when compared with the one in China. the annual output from vietnam is about 1% world total, this is compared to >30% from China.

When the regime in Hanoi systematically brainwashed your parents and you, my parents and my grandparents spent their entire lives to get our nation industralized. That is why your people are crossing the border to work illegally in China.

Do you know anything about "Tradition"?
If the French, Americans and CCP studied TRADITION of Vietnam, they probably did not cause the war with Vietnam to then they get the failures.

Traditionally, we don't need the big ships, but many times Vietnamese Navy defeated and killed Chinese soldiers countless.
Please read the following excerpts from Wikipedia:

In Lý-Trần Dynasty era, the problems of construction the naval base, set up the naval forces were in place. Specially, the Van Don port has an important role to protect the northeast sea of Vietnam. In 1077, the Vietnamese Navy fought the Battle of Cầu River against the Chinese Song Dynasty forces. This was the final battle China's Song Dynasty would fight on Vietnamese land or waters. The battle lasted for several months, and ended with the victory of the Vietnamese Navy and the loss of many Song's (Chinese) sailors. This victory demonstrated the successful tactics of war and active defense of the famous Admiral Lý Thường Kiệt who faced a naval force several times larger than his own.[2] The Song Dynasty lost a total of 80,000 soldiers/sailors and 5,19 million ounces of gold, including all costs of the war.[3]
The largest battles (officially recorded in history) were three naval battles (all three are called Battle of Bạch Đằng): Ngô Quyền against the Chinese Southern Han forces in 938 (killed over 100,000 and captured a thousands Chinese sailors, killed Chinese Prince Liu Hongcao);[4] Lê Hoàn against Song Dynasty in 981; and Trần Quốc Tuấn against Yuan Dynasty (Mongol) in 1288 (killed over 80,000 Yuan Mongol sailors, destroyed more than 400 Yuan ships, killed Sogetu, and captured Yuan Admiral Omar).[5]
One of the greatest victories in Vietnamese Naval history was the Battle of Rạch Gầm-Xoài Mút in Tay Son dynasty, during which Nguyễn Huệ (Emperor Quang Trung) defeated the Siamese (Thai) naval force. The battle occurred in present-day Tiền Giang Province on January 19, 1785. Nguyễn Huệ's forces completely destroyed over 50,000 Siamese sailors and 300 warships.[6].
