my point is not to buy older block like block 15 ,20

Hi,

What is technically wrong if it has good life left in it and it can be upgraded-----.

Keep in mind that Argentina just decided to buy 30 + years old Kfir that Israel will re-furbish and guarantee the frame for another 30 + years.

Hi,

You kids come out so strong in your initial posts and then you guys FIZZLE out---. Which means that your basic and fundamental information base is incorrect.

Your post is so silly----.
and you read it.. made me read it and now both of us are affected by it
his age group must be between 16 to 22 max

isnt it great sir that we send our tropps to saudia and ask them to fund rafael deal before indians can do it.in the same time try to look for adding f16s?

Pretty much agreed by Viper's post and surely we can buy atleast 4-5 block 52 F16s every third year just to have hi tech planes for special missions, if required. Inventory of just 18 block 52 is too thin for me unless we have something like Su35 or J11B in our stock as well.

92622 (cn DH-10) This Viper was to be delivered to Pakistan but was embargoed and stored in AMARC in July 1994. Then was transferred to 416 FLTS 'ED' in January 2003 and now is delivered finally to the initial customer.

: Pakistan - Air Force
: Lockheed F-16B Fighting Falcon

So, the remaining 14 F-16s are arriving :pakistan:. This is really a shame for Pakistani diplomats and politicians that only Military is working hard day and night to acquire things and negotiate. Pakistani diplomats and politicians don't play any role in any way for Pakistan at all like we used to see in India and else where all over the world. Really, I feel proud of my Pakistani Military.

I hope Pakistan Air Force let alone again and again will try from its own side to acquire used F-16s from Egypt (60) and Jordan (45) as both are looking to replace with new 50 Block-50 and 100 EF-2000 respectively.

:hitwall:

Only used F-16s + 32 new F-16s and may be SU-27s from Ukraine and China.

what I know about F16 is that there are different production variants F-16A/B (A is for single seat and B for two seated ) F-16A/B (C is for single seat and D for two seated )
F-16A/B Block 15
F-16A/B Block 20
F-16C/D F-16C/D Block 25
F-16C/D Block 30/32
F-16C/D Block 40/42
F-16C/D Block 50/52
F-16C/D Block 50/52 Plus
F-16E/F Block 60

For PAF, its better to have F-16s Block-15 about 150 of them + 50 F-16C/D Block 50/52 Plus
with 150 JF-17s.

Thank you bud. Always good to be back among friends :)

I have few important questions should be answered with facts pls.

1. How old F16s say block 40 to 50 wiill be relevant in Indo/Pak scenareo?
2. What will be their capabilities against semi stealthy Platforms?
3. Do F16 Synthetic radar will be more capable against PESA/AESA radars of IAF jets?
4.Strings attached with F16s especially block 52 can't be kept on same Air Base with JF17s.?
5.Can't use same weapons for JF17s and F16?
6. Can't get same engines for JF17s and F16s?
7.Can we upgrade Block 40-50 or 52 F16 with aesa Radars/IRST most probaly no?
(High costs, reluctance on part of suppliers due to US pressure)

Facts favoring observations.

I have read that Indian Jets have got RAM coatings, after RAFAEL deal is done it may prove to be challenge for older Pak ground based radars as AWACS can't remain in air 24 hours. Further Indian Jets even Mig21s have got latest EW Russian suits/Jamming Pods. LRAAM have also been received by IAF to counter AWACS.The SU30 after upgrades will get high ceiling along with more powerfull AESA radr in near future even PESA radar is better than Synthetic Aperture radar.
Pak so far has no fighter to counter IAF challenge above service ceiling of 59 to 60,000ft.

Most of the seniors advocating Falcons as Pak may get more agile and strings free J10b for fighter role in large quantities from China with next gen EW suit, AESA radar, IRST, more stealth resulting in high survivability.. Similarly once SU35 deal is finalized with Russia, even Pak may get capable same Russian Jets for JF17 and J10b for similarity and to cut down operational costs, even J11D will be feasible option for PAK.
The fact remains that apart from any single exception no future AF will be able to keep their entire fleet of 5th gen fighters. They will base their core on 4.5th gen light or mostly heavy but agile fighter Jets with high ceiling,AESA, IRST etc to challenge even 5th gen Fighters. The countries like Pak who are cash strapped can't afford to purchase F16s for 10 to 15 years even providing no new capabilities.
