Really? Shouldn't the Taliban be more sympathetic to Muslim troops from India because their condition is already so bad???

I have NO problem if you can prove to be part of Muslim Strategic/defence block and send your troops.

We are not talking about Muslim Hindu here rather we are talking about an entire block and India is NO way part of Muslim block if any be.

Had there been 90% even then they would not be called 'muslim troops'. They will still remain 'Indian troops' just like those who currently are!

This will be an interesting development from Indian and US point of view..US will have some one fill the void after US leaves , and Bangladesh can hardly afford to work against Indian interests in Afghanistan.

As India does not wan't deploy its troops in Afghanistan, Bangladeshi troops if deployed will be a good substitute.

1% is good enough for peace missions I guess....and if needed whole Indian Army is there to help them.....but can u please provide the data for percentage of bangladeshi HINDUs in ur army......thanks...

You think after US/NATO withdrawal, things would be smooth? you are already seeing the situation in Iraq. Afghanistan would be struck by civil war with the taliban trying to regain control over the existing govt.Relief operations would go haywire and the tropps present there would have to retaliate. America knows this and they can't totally ignore the situation. America would definitely not like to loose control over the situation, and now you will see how they are planning to do it.

Why do you think Talibanis can not be regularize? Even a lot of people thought West Africa can not be demilitarized and the fighting will continue. But within half a decade those war mongers are turning their weapon back and coming to UN camp to learn how to do farming. The same can be applied to Taliban. Afhganistan was stable country untill recently and those people lived there for thousands of years. Only good leadership and incentives could bring them back to normal life. Bangladesh army could contribute to that as they have huge field experince working in the similar situation.

IA has 8% sikhs (who are demographically 2%).

there are very few bengalis in IA, so is the case from my state of AP. IA has demographic imbalances, every one knows that.

That is not correct, there are a lot of Marathi's, Tamil's, Gurkha's etc. just to name a few.

Afhgan interest lies in neither of the setup. A puppet government which has no credibility to its own people will be hard to work with. But again if thre is a UN umbrella then the situation will be changed. UN should arrange a neutral election and local government should be strengthend and given enough authority so that people will have faith on the system.
