US Think-Tanks ask Pakistan to sign CTBT without waiting for India

@bold ... Lolll

Fifth.. Disband Pakistan nuclear weapons without waiting for India
Sixth : Dont respond to indian military forces even if they attack Pakistan
seventh: be ready to be disintegrated as a result of indian attack, without any second thought

These steps being taken by Islamabad would advance Pakistan's (read: India's) national, social, and economic security interests
LOL seriously Nuclear weapons are the only achieved success by Pakistan?

This deal being offered to Pakistan is same as the Indo-US Nuclear deal. I am surprised why the people think that this is a bad deal than that was offered to India.

Shift declaratory policy from ‘full spectrum’ to ‘strategic’ deterrence.commit to a recessed deterrence posture and limit production of short-range delivery vehicles and tactical nuclear weapons

India has agreed that it's nuclear and missile programs would be limited to having credible nuclear deterrence against china only. There is a reason why India is not going ahead with the ICBM program.

Lift Pakistan’s veto on Fissile Material Cutoff Treaty negotiations and reduce or stop fissile material production

India is already agreed to sign FMCT.

Separate civilian and military nuclear facilities.

India has already done this.

Sign the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty without waiting for India,” they said.

India has already agreed to this in principle and would sign whenever it is ready

US Think-Tanks ask Pakistan to sign CTBT without waiting for India

The think-tanks presented the findings ahead of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to the US and his talks with US President Barack Obama on October 22.

The "Think Tank" has plenty of "Tanked Thinking" going on. This report is as useful as a crazy patient in a mental hospital!!!

If POTUS really got this report (which i HIGHLY doubt), I am sure he'll be thinking "I can't believe we just paid so much consulting money to these idiots who have NO idea what they are asking an entire country of 200 million people to do"!!!

This report is as real as asking a human to give away his heart and die. Pakistan built nukes to counter India and survive, and did those tests against the entire world's threats, force and pressure. Asking and expecting them to undo it, is beyond stupidity. SPECIALLY, asking the SAME guy who took the stand against the world to do those tests, is even worst    :enjoy::omghaha:

Who's behind the part where it says "sign the CTBT without India"......you guessed it right, the Indian Lobby!!! Man, we solved SUCH a complex mystery today :enjoy:

and sign off our debt....its interest....oh and handcuff india with the same treaty....

Yea, and 2 air craft carriers, with f-18's and f-15's on them.

Comon loot ka season hain maangne mein kya jaata hain, milna toh hain nahi. :cheesy:

What Indian Lobby. India has already agreed to sign CTBT whenever it comes up. Pakistan is the last country holding out.

As anti-indian as I am, I don't often say this but you are an indian poster who is intelligent and sensible. Your posts are accurate and insightful. I mainly agree with what you say but I think that out of all the non-western nations, india has the strongest and most beneficial relationship with the west. Even more so than Japan. The west is quite partial to india and sees it as a strategic ally against China.

What partial relation ?
Rafael deal is dragged for years and we are damn paying for it, while french are not even bending 2 inch for indian demands whatever they are in respect of a TOT or offsets.

If there was any partiality rafael production in india wud had already started.

And thus the lobby pushing for it.....POTUS's main agenda wasn't this as they had clearly explained the main reasons of him hosting NS, to discuss the safety of the American troops, to seek cooperation against the Talibans, so they can be forced to come to the table with Afghans. And then the cancer being spread in the world, called ISIS and how to do surgery on these terrorist basterds, to remove them. So POTUS had an agenda where the nukes may be a small issue to raise as Pakistan has had them for almost two + decades now. But if this issue surfaces, it would ALL be due to the Indian lobby as India has been very uncomfortable since Pakistan announced full spectrum defensive - offensive nuke strategy. It takes away everything the IA, the IAF and IN have worked for over a decade. This is the mother (and most dangerous) of all doctrines and beats to pulp all Indian offensive doctrines they proudly used to announce every other day.

Who can you blame for this? With Modi being the PM, your minorities and other religion's followers INDIAN citizens are brutally being murdered almost every day, on things as little as eating MEAT!!! And you think this crazy PM won't randomly attack Pakistan to add another chapter to Ramlila??? Modi wants to be like Hanuman, he wants to be called ModiMan, period. But that won't happen with Pakistan anymore. He's going to have to find a different enemy to show macho-ness all together!!! Sri Lanka or Nepal or Bangladesh would do??

Why would India lobby to have Pakistan sign the CTBT ? It does not make any sense. If Pakistan does not sign CTBT & FMCT it means India does not have it sign them as well.

There is lot of opposition in India with regards to India signing CTBT. India agreed to signing CTBT and FMCT in return for the nuclear deal which is now being offered to Pakistan too.

Read my post below.

It's not going to happen.

The meeting between Obama & Nawaz is all going to be about India & Pakistan's nukes which makes India cry out loud.

First US is in dire need of a good relationships with major players from all Continents, its Policies for decades has abandoned it geopolitically. Secondly, Russia China Pakistan Iran friendship is one more threat to US internal Security and as US is dying to wage a war against Russia and China, so that it can dismantle the world peace because of its failing economy, US wants Pakistan to limit its Nuclear deterrence to India because it fears if the World war 3 escalates US than will have to face 3 Nuclear states instead of just 2.

Let them do so , sanctions failed to work against pak, north korea, russia, cuba blah blah.
Sanctions are a toothless tool.
You are wrong, bro.

Sanctions are always damaging. Right now, sanctions have damaged Russian economy to some extent; it has fallen from 9th position to 13th position on the economic front in a span of a year or two.

Pakistan was in a bad shape during the period of sanctions. While Pakistan did not compromise much on its defensive needs, its progress in other areas suffered. Besides, Pakistan wasn't in a good shape even on the defensive front during the period of sanctions; Kargil conflict exposed this fact.

It's true but the politicians in Pakistan treat these guys as if they were their Gods. If they had even an ounce of self respect and backbone then we could get somewhere.
Pakistan needs to become a trillion dollar economy to grow such a spine, bro.

US is not internationally isolated, bro. Truth is that Pakistan doesn't have many friends in the geo-political arena. Pakistan has to increasingly rely on China for its internal and external matters.

Failing economy? No, bro. US is still the largest economic power in the world and is likely to retain this position in the near future.

Pakistan's geo-political influence is [regional], and it is not in the position to dictate its terms at global stage due to its poor economic situation. If Pakistan is demanding a Civil-Nuclear deal from US, it has to compromise on its interests to some extent.
