US supporting PKK Terrorists

Turkey should be thankful for the Kurdish resistance as it's doing a lot of your work for you. Sadly, this was a chance to build bridges but instead Erdogan has sowed another century of resentment from Kurds.

Sigh, another ignorant post. those 'Kurds' (actually they are pyd, which is a wing of pkk, a terrorist organization) could have built several bridges with their Arab and Turkmen sunni and shia neighbors, instead they made peace with isis at the same time the latter was slaughtering those Arabs and Turkmen, which by the way probably didnt receive 50% of the western media attention the Kurds have received. Now they are getting slaughtered and the world suddenly expects Turkey and others to run to pyd's help. What a shameless hypocrisy. Turkey is not gonna help some pyd/pkk terrorists in ayn al arab, where mostly only isis and pyd/pkk terrorists remain. isis vs pyd/pkk fighting is a wonderful thing.

On the contrary Syrian Kurdish refugees have been welcomed and should be happy that they are in Turkey, Turkey has done a lot for Syrian and Iraqi refugees, be it Kurds, Arabs or Turkmen. Again while the west is throwing mud at Turkey for not helping some pyd/pkk terrorists, Turkey is daily taking care of more than 1,5m refugees with mere minimal financial assistance from the same west.

Didnt expect much from someone who thinks Turkey's problem is with Kurds anyway.

Do you even know about pyd/pkk? I doubt it. Why should Turkey on its own enter Syria, still a sovereign nation, help pyd/pkk, who has been terrorizing us for 30 years, to keep their gains, enter direct confrontation with isis on behalf of the same pyd/pkk scum? You think after isis, pyd/pkk will suddenly become friends with Turkey? Dont be so naive please. Mate, they are Turkish Hizbullah's remnants.... scary bunch of people. In 90's Jitem backed them, they executed many Kurdish figures. Later they gained much power and began to slaughter anyone who stand in their way.

Can Kurds and Shia's work as ground troops to finish off IS together with US air support?

Turkey, GCC and friendly Arab countries need to develop a Sunni resistance against IS in Sunni areas of Iraq and Syria.

Lets say Kurds, Shia militias and Sunni resistance can suffice as ground troops to beat IS. When IS is finished, I propose that a joint Turkish, GCC and Arab League peace keeping force (read Armies) should take over the Sunni areas of Iraq and Syria to ensure that Kurds do not take over Sunni Arab areas and Shia's don't massacre Sunni like they did before. The PKF should stay there indefinitely, essentially it will be a remake of Ottoman empire, but with joint Turkish and Arab partnership. This is also to ensure that Iraq and Syria survive as states and Sunni rights are ensured in these states.

The mistake for Turkey and GCC govt. was to use or tolerate religious extremism as a geopolitical tool. Just like it was not a good idea in Afghanistan, so it was not in Iraq or Syria. To be fair, the US learned from its mistake in Afghanistan, but unfortunately the GCC govts. did not it seems. I can understand Turkey making a mistake as this is first time they are facing a situation like this.
