Holy cr@p.
This is a total game changer, AIM-120C8 is just another name for AIM-120D

Sop which Indian fighter plane will fire the AMRAAM?
It's will be from ground based system.
Although missile is identical to air launched ones.

I remember Pakistanis on this forum saying Pakistan should get AIM-120D for Afghan peace deal but India gets it instead.

And the worshipping begins. Just wait, 10 years down the line, India would be calling the AIMs as duds just like they called R-77.

On topic.
Which ground system will exactly launch AMRAAMs?

Obviously anything and everything India acquires is a game-changer.

So it's basically just a SAM system....just like the efficient Spyder system.:enjoy:

. . .
Edit: Just checked. Apparently there are some ground launching systems. Either way, it's nothing significant.

It's being launched from ground, not air. Missile range will be significantly less. NRSAMs has an engagement range of 40 km and 14 km altitude.

A SAM system being used to launch AAMs Lol. $1.8 billion for this... they could get another battalion of S400 mb in this price.

Although during both the 1965 and 1971 wars, India launched several Soviet-type SAMs at PAF aircraft without a single hit however the Indians ended the jinx on 27th February and in all earnest this system will be more of a threat to Indian pilots than anyone else.

Naturally, since they are both ground-based systems.
