University of Lahore expels students for hugging on campus

These students unfortunately forgot that most of the universities in our country our hubs of terrorists and extremists, sectarian killers, pseudo intellectuals, political party ghundas, fanatic mullahs, and the like. Yahan do number log har do number kaam kertay hain, but aisi cheezain inn say hazam nai hoti.

What is even more shameful is that the educated members here are vilifying these two students. Pathetic state of affairs, and I see no hope for the general awaam of this country.

Shows the Zehni beemari plaguing most of our population, as a result of education from Saudi funds. Yahan IBA graduates ki jagah terrorists paida kerta hai who killed the owner of T2f on the basis of their convulted religious perceptions, but nobody dared to question that institution. Yahan Mashal Khan jaisa banda can be lynched in a university, and the perpetrators of the crime are nowhere to be seen.

Sad state of affairs.

If a student cant even abide by the rules of their institution, they dont deserve to be in that institution. Rest is all opinions and everyone is entitled to their own.

What i dont get is why the hell Indians are so concerned with this? Go drink some gau mutra squash and leave Pakistanis alone.

One research Uni I was working in , this Pathan joined as a PhD student, well built bearded dude. Soon after he joined 3 white researchers got pregnant and he disappeared. He was kicked out.

Really ? I agree that the hugging was a bit excessive but the drastic measures you suggest for them for some PDA is what you should have balanced by vigorously suggesting for the Lal Masjid mullahs and mullans, and their sneaky, irritating, terrorist-producing brethern / sisteren, the Tablighi Jamaat.
Well the Lal masjid freaks should have been slaughtered by Musharraf

PDA’s are not acceptable in Pakistani society - use a cafe, friends house whatever - a PDA happening in UOL is highest violation that takes precedence over cheating, plagiarism, sexual harassment, broken toilets etc.

But it is still a violation of rules and the university took action. Unfortunately, Pakistani society being what it is took the expected response, either declare the offenders to be stoned and claim Pakistani nation is destroyed, or decry it as an attack on love.

The other filth in the society can live on because it is part of society and tradition.

I haven't seen any calls for stoning of the students, its just the university has a code of conduct and they have to abide by it, it is as simple. every institution has its on dress code, that is why we don't see judges in Pajamas or Police in trek suit , the thing is Pakistan can and will never be fully functional Islamic state nor a liberal democracy, we will always stuck in middle and the clash of voices will remain, sometimes it get intense and sometimes nobody notice it.

What people who support public affection forgets that Islam didn't choose Pakistan but it was People and its founding father such as Jinnah who picked up Islam to create a country called Pakistan, so if they have issues with Pakistan's society being somewhat culture then remove the Islamic republic and rewrite the constitution wrt to progressive liberal constitution, oh and also replace Jinnah from Rupee Bills to Veena malik.

Countries which can't tolerate 2 people hugging or kissing should go back to stone age. Religion is the root of most evils in this world. Be it be Pak, India, middle east or west, religion makes people blind, orthodox and simply gutter-class.
There are countless murders, rapes, and other serious crimes happening in every country, but all we discuss is how youths should behave or if girls can wear skirts etc., The mankind is deranged and the human intelligence is highly overrated.

Why can't we have our own societal standards?

This is a non-sequitur! You can be against rapes and uphold moral in society. First is the lack of latter in most cases. And crimes will always happen, unless you create a 200% China like police state (and even there crimes happen).

If your morals gets infringed by 2 people hugging or kissing, f*** that society and morality. A society where 2 people can't hug, then that society has a problem, not the people.

A society where relations after marraige are encouraged and not performed in public is a civilized society, what u are talking about is a bunch of cave man heathens dancing naked around fire fornicating openly, learn the difference between civilization and barbarism, pea brain.

If you meet this gentleman, please convey my salaam to him!

I dont see what is wrong here... we are not KSA or Iran, nor should we set such arab nations as a role model. Jinnah did not make our state so muslims can oppress other muslims. He created our state so that muslims are free to do as they wish AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT HURT OR INFRINGE UPON OTHERS.

Such hypocrisy....
only jammat e islami terror nursery is allowed in universities no love only hate

SO you can rape and have sex in private any where in Pakistan but cant openly purpose. What non sense.

Pakistan needs to open up.

These liberal ideas and mindset, I am always at odds with them and people who hold such thinking. I do see them as biggest hypocrites.

This particular issue is not about love/hate or relationships, its to do with our culture and values. There are certain limitations which society has imposed on itself through its evolution. There is no free for all licence, try to screw in public places in western countries and if get caught, see what police do to you. Public affection is not part of Pakistani culture, there are no ifs and buts here, everyone knows the rules.

Coming to hypocrisy part, liberals all over the world, not just in Pakistan are against hijab and giving justifications that its not really an Islamic rule rather something which evolved as a social and culture norm in Muslim world. They give all sort of reasons and historical references to this effect. So when western countries are banning Hijab through legislation, they are in effect, according to liberal ideas about Hijab, banning Muslim culture in their societies. I mean for crying out loud, Switzerland just recently outlawed Hijab where there are around 30 odd women in whole country known to be hijabi!

Say Pakistan bring in a law tomorrow, to protect our values, culture and outlaw anything which is imported , like western culture, would you guys support such laws in Pakistan? Because frankly speaking, there is a pin drop silence among liberal circles about banning of Hijab in western countries. If it is acceptable for west to protect "their ways and social behaviours" its should be the same for Pakistan to secure its own culture.

It is not about being liberal at all. The point is you are giving the libtards fuel due to all the none sense moral policing going on. You rant about western liberalism but did you even discuss the level of underground homosexuality, sexual frustration, pedophilia, and addiction to pornogrophy which is abundent in Pakistan today?

We have every tom, dick, and harry ready to rant but little solution is listed to the problems our boys/girls face today. We have went so far to push away basic human nature that most of our people are no different than animals now.

It is easy to rant against western values, but the fact is there is far more of the above evil today in Pakistan than the west.

A very simple solution to the problem would be to follow Turkeys, UAEs, or Malaysias example. Which is to not allow moral policing. Pakistani people should learn not to judge others especially when it does not affect their own lives.
