Turkish Naval Programs

Indigeneously developed machinery automatic control system

As its indicated by an official from ASELSAN its decided to integrate national control system for propulsion devices/engines on 5th and 6th (so later on) milgem. For ships between 1-4 control system supplied by MTU , which is also main supplier for propulsion section.With this projects , engines only will be mechanical parts importer, with indigeneous electronics integrated on them, will grant assurance of security for these engines.

Its a critical system for ship , since generators, auxillary machinery , propeller blades and engine managed by this control softwarer/device . After this section developed by indigeneous sources, it will be able to apply this to early built ships and other ships as well.

Dynamic Positioning System

ASELSAN plans to work on DP system, which is most critical section for Oil Rigs ,it should be noted Turkey plans to develop oil rig for national purposes, tensions with cyprus and hesitate of foreigner companies to supply equipment which will work on issued areas. Solid steps will be taken in following year for design of oil rig, as well as DP system for this rig and some other Navy ships like mine hunters. Beside naval and oil rig application, this is a system supplied in world only by a few companies, such as rolls-royce ,konsberg (and some more). Also has a exclusive market .

Design studies on Test/Qualification and training ship

Aselsan collaborates with İTÜ to develop a ship which will be test bed for their equipments, classifications of equipments and training of staff . Also operation of ship mainly will be shared to İTÜ and then chartered for private companies which desires to test their naval equipments on a real on-going ship.
This ship will ease test program of ASELSAN, since untill now they had to use fisheries or some navy ships(which are under construction or tests) for testing their equipments with time and data sensivity. With this project , ASELSAN will receive a flexibility for testing equpiments. Additionally DP system project will be considered to apply on this ship.
Additionally this ship will be employed for short distance search/rescue operations, or natural disaster supports will be under responsibilty of AFAD.
Planned to launch ship at 27 Sept 2016 and commission in mids of 2017

Dizaynı yapılırken zaten oluşabilecek titreşimler göz önünde bulunduruluyor, her ne kadar radarın bulunduğu üst kısım büyük ve ağır gözükse de , yapı alta gittikçe ağırlaşıyor. 60 mil hızda birşey olmuyorsa seyir hızında birşey olma ihtimali düşük.
Zaten yapısal dizaynı yapılırken sağlamlıktan da öte, radarın kritik titreşim frekansının altını sağlamak için yapı gayet hassas yapılıyor.

Milgem'in dizaynında ilk öngörülen radar direği ( kimisi mast diyor ,tam bilmiyorum) konvansiyonel yapıda önerilmişti ,çünkü milgemde kullanılan modern tarzda bir yapı gerçekten uzun bir süreç gerektiriyordu. DzKK'nın rada kesit alanını düşürme ve radarın/ ve diğer elektronik ekipmanların dış etkilere karşı hassasiyetini azaltma isteği doğrultusunda böyle bir işe giriştiler. Milgemde belkide en çok uğraşılan yapılardan biri o radar yapısıydı, sağlam bi ar-ge sonrasında o yapı ortaya çıktı. Tahminim boyutları oranıyla milgemdeki aynı yapı bu projede kullanılacak.

Gemilerde genellikle denizden gelen dalga ve titreşim yükü rüzgardan gelenden daha kritiktir. Detaya girmeden geçeyim , denizden gelen hareket gemiyi rijit bi harekete zorlar, üzerine yük uygular. Rüzgardan gelende gemiyi yalayıp geçercesine, biraz suyun içinde hareket ettirir. Daha birçok şey var listelenebilen, ama özetle rüzgar o yapıya radarın performansını düşürecek bir etkide bulunmaz

Developed or produced? . When its told in the way of " developed" it sounds like it was ONUK-BG who designed the structure to fit on weapons, while its mentioned as produced it becomes like they received the design and details and manufactured. They had the same way for sonar dome in milgem, design delivered and the manifactured.

Still its a good think, ONUK gains ability to produce high tech parts. :) they can at least produce the newer fit for guns in turkey.

This is the best looking design so far imo. The one from dearsan doesn't look as modern and its not stealthy like the one from ADIK.

Cant comment on being stealthy but i dont like the proportions of Adiks design, nose is too long, it looks ugly like this to me.

I agree, it has the proportions of an empty cargo ship.

Meanwhile ARES shipyard with their Rolls Royce designed FAC. This is my favourite.
