land based Atmaca does not make that much sense especially for the Agean. However, air or submarine launched varients of Atmaca does. therefore we can keep our SOM varients mainly for the deep strike missions and I belive this is the path we will follow.

Turkish Cypriots in general dont really like Conservatives.

Then again Turks of Turkey and Turkish Cypriots love each other hence why I dont believe we are divided.

Its normal for a Turkish man to take a Turkish cypriot wife.

Turkish Cypriots welcome more military presence on the island, however they are against islamization. So a naval base won't anger anyone except the Greeks.

They cant the AKP cant do anything. Cyprus is too valuable to lose.

Hence why let the Turkish cypriots rule the country while Turkey would back and support them.

Akp cant control everything there is a limit to everything.

TRNC was recognised by Pakistan and Bangladesh in the 1980s but I think with Yankee arm twisting and our spineless wahhabis s..itheads in Islamabad we ditched reconigition

Essentially yes. Although they do rely on Turkey for economic and military reasons, Northen Cyprus will never be fully controlled by AKP. They've tried to force Islamism into people's throats but it hasn't worked. Almost every single Turk in Cyprus is a Kemalist and therefore they are secular-nationalists. Because of this there is a lack of AKP fanatics on the island.

Hmmm I guess Turkish Cypriots are wary but is there concern that the Turks may just place Turks from the mainland to settle and change the demographics hence voting pattern

The base is ok for now; but the real problem and breed-nest waiting to ''break out'' is not mainly to come from the outside and still open for the outsiders to scratch it just like in South Eastern; if some remarks of some newspapers, ''NGOs'' and ''politicians'' in the TRNC are read, you will get the situation in the TRNC, which is almost identical to that in Turkey, but the worse since the TRNC is a small land unlike Turkey.

BTW, The same conditions did start to happen at the same time when The ''Ne istediler de vermedik'' alliance started to do operations in the TRNC and Turkey.

As Clearly seen ''Air'' implies our F-16s, F-4s and may be but may be ATR 72-600 as well not SHIPS and again clearly ATMACA is a dedicated anti-ship missile at the moment and SOM is a deep strike CM with a clear anti-ship capability. Almost all nations who managed to build an anti ship missile came up with an air launched varient and finaly the point of my post was WE WILL FOLLOW THE SAME PATH! that simple! Air launched ATMACA will provide a unique ability of rapid deployment and strike be it eastern mediterranean, Agean or if necessary the whole mediterranean. The advantages of AIR launched ATMACA should be clear for all sane minds. isn't it!!!

though may be future belongs hypersonic or low observable anti- ship missiles air launched ATMACA still makes sense
