What's new

Turkish Missile Programs

They have wheeled one, less protected, with less launcher.
There is also tracked one,
Appearantly you dont know TAF's doctrine and why 2 launchers were chosen over 4 or more, so why bragging about it?
Give a quick search on web or thread, you may find out why 2 launchers were chosen or why such vehicles have less protection.

there should be 4 launchers.... I dont care who has chosen 2 launchers but it is stupid.

That's like just your opinion mayn, and like your opinion doesn't count mayn.. Those studied in military academies, have battle experience and have direct input into procurements, their opinions matter, mayn... You know what I mean, mayn?

If there are 2 missiles at the top it doesn't mean inside the vehicle there is nothing.

In which f.ckng combat scenario you would have to send salvation of 4 ATGM from a single IFV.

10 ton light weapon carrier wont be sent on attack alone.
Their attack must be like wolf pack against lion.

Two missiles and if they are used you just reload...

Its better to have +2 missiles more, even if you are not needed, than two less, if you needed. A quick search on google, to find TAF doctrine on that issue, sounds a bit to optimistic.

Right, their is also a tracked one.

Maybe not that simple. It takes time to reload and after firing first missile, your enemy will known your position.

You answered your question @Bismarck.. No serious oppenent will let you to spend more than 2 before you need to scoot.

TAF has chosen 2 launcher over 4 launcher it is right or wrong they are going to use it, its their decision. It is their doctrine, they have some plans with it and they adopted it.
For the way which this platform is going to operate 2 tubes were found to be optimum.

Your position will be less likely revealed after the first, but second missile will high likely reveal your position to the target You wont be able to fire 3rd and 4th unless it is a salvo for multiple targets for this kind of medium ranged anti tank missiles. It is not going to fire NLOS missile. If it was long range /NLOS variant carrying multiple missiles are better.

the main reason for 2 is you reload them from inside, if 4 you need to whole on top of it that make it impossible to reload them from inside

That explains everything.

Reloading from the outside in high-intensity conflict zones is plain stupid. Did favour 4 ATGMs myself until I was presented with the reloading aspect.

Its unlikely/unnecessary to reload the missiles, if you have enough (8) of them loaded. But okay.

the whole projekt is designed to hide it from thermal kameras. ENgine being behind it, also those will be swimming in a war against Greek, so low attitude on top of water is also important. also, those anti tank missiles, you send only one, so while the other one looking for enemies, you reload it.

Which one?
FNSS Kaplan 10 or
FNSS PARS 4X4 ANTI TANK?
