How big and what kind are we taking?
even the Russian army got shocked when they tested Russian 12.7 and 14.5 mm bullets and couldnt penetrate its armor after Georgian war. You can see test pictures. But, because of its 7 ton weight, it couldnt stand against 10 + kg tnt. thats why Turkey developed bigger and heavier vehicles which has 3 ton carry capacity and 14 ton. later, they developed vehicle that can be added armor to become 4th or 5th level protection or lower in case of need, lets say you need to transfer it with a helicopter and put armor there

Between 300 and 1 ton. They used multiple tactics and evolved. The Turkish EOD teams have seen different types of IED's including RCIEDs, CWIEDs, VOIEDs including sequental consisting of one primary and multiple secondary devices.

With the improving armor standards of the armored vehicles, the improving technology of the vehicles and also the infantry EOD teams by including jammer equipment have pushed them to make them bigger, smarter and the ones commanded by wire are the most effective types. They use C4 and Ammonium Nitrate as their favorite and most accessible tools.

Can someone tell me how the original Otokar Kobra performed against IEDs under combat conditions? Has it seen much combat use?

M113 upgrade? More details?

Which one do you mean, the first generation or the current one?

Btw guys what the fuvck is this exactly and what will we need it for (maybe except for reconnaissance by SF). I mean is it just a solution or a product designed to compete for a specific tender?

Yep, it's an all-electric vehicle for SF recon - makes no sound, no heat. It's not designed for a particular tender, at least nothing that's publically known.

I remember when this was first published a few years ago people on different forums were going "wtf, what's the point of this?!", but now other countries are making the same thing.

Was there a tender for this acquisition? Like was it tested alongside the Arma? Weird how Arma was the first to get a foreign sales but Pars was the one that got chosen domestically.

In fact, the first ARMA came into use. However, he had an accident and there were soldiers who were martyred.
