FNSS RCWS, Aselsan Yamgöz 360° close range surveillance system, Gergan RCIED Jammer and SEDA Gunshot Detection System.

Interesting that Special Forces didn't choose SARP RCWS but instead opted out for FNSS alternative. Would really like to know the reason for that, seeing how many SARPs are already in use with the TSK and this would be if I'm correct the first time FNSS RCWS is gonna be used.

Maybe the positioning of the E/O ?

Might be because the EO and gun are locked to the same azimuth. For fast moving targets that could be a problem.

Very nice turkish explanation of how FNNS developed PARS from GPV (licens production).
He said that they bought the license from GPV to develop PARS 1, but that it did not satisfy the requirements of the Turkish military so FNSS improved on the platform with PARS 2 and now PARS 3.

"Pars 8x8, 2000 yılında Amerikan GPV firması ile ortak, 20 Milyon Dolar bütçe ile geliştirilmeye başlanmıştır. Süspansiyon sistemi hariç diğer sistemler FNSS tarafından geliştirilmiştir. Bu konfigürasyonda araç satışı olmamıştır. 2008 yılında FNSS ile GPV arasındaki ortaklık sona erdirilmiş ve Pars 8x8 aracı temel alınarak Pars II aracı geliştirilmeye başlanmıştır." FNSS, 25 yılın hikayesi kitabından özetle.

Google translate:

"Pars 8x8 started to be developed in 2000 with the American GPV company, with a budget of 20 Million Dollars. Other systems except the suspension system were developed by FNSS. There were no vehicle sales in this configuration. The partnership between FNSS and GPV was terminated in 2008. Based on the Pars 8x8 vehicle. Pars II vehicle has started to be developed. " In summary from the book of the story of FNSS, 25 years.

What is the passenger and crew carrying capacity of this one ???

The important part of the presentation is the Aselsan KORHAN turret but the bed can carry up to 12 personnel (crew included in this number).
Is this vehicle going to the armed forces? Only recently someone complained that we don't have any IFV / ICV
