No, that is new POH camo and poh gear (vest+helmet). Jandarma new camouflage is ugly as hell and also I spotted it with FSA units as well.

Pouches on his vest indicate that he is a MG operator. He might be the only gunner in his unit. If I'm not mistaken, these full face armors are usually prefered and worn by gunners for obvious reasons.

As he is "only" an uzman çavus, I doubt it's one of these "the high ranking guys get the fancy stuff" kind of thing.

Might as well be just show for the cameras and they got only this one for now, who knows? Or a logistical failure. Still see PÖH running around without helmets. Not sure if it's a matter of preference tho.

But I honestly don't see what good it would bring to equip several people with this anyway. Bulletproof vests would probably safe more lifes.
