Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Hakan Cavusoglu announced the visit in Ankara on Wednesday.

A foreign ministry official in Dhaka said State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam would receive her at the airport.

According to the schedule of Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, he would accompany the first lady to Cox’s Bazar camps on Thursday.

She is also expected to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday before leaving Dhaka.

More than 125, 000 Rohingya refugees have crossed into Bangladesh as tens of thousands more were internally displaced by the latest violence on Aug 25, according to the UN agencies.

The violence drew global condemnation. UN Secretary-General António Guterres wrote “officially” to the president of the Security Council to express his concern. He also appreciated Bangladesh for allowing in Rohingya refugees.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also phoned his Bangladesh counterpart Md Abdul Hamid and supported measures taken by Bangladesh over the Rohingya refugee issue in the conversation last week.

He expressed concern over the ongoing violence in Myanmar's Rakhine state.

Cavusoglu, Turkey’s deputy prime minister, speaking in Ankara, said the first lady would have “close contact” with Rohingya Muslims who had escaped from Myanmar.

“Also our Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency head and our foreign minister, who is currently in Azerbaijan, will head to Bangladesh to meet, contact and provide aid opportunities there,” he said.

Cavusoglu noted that President Erdogan, who is also the term president of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has been discussing the issue with several Muslim leaders to find a solution.

Myanmar’s government on Tuesday allowed the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency or TIKA to distribute 1,000 tons of aid to Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine.

The permission from Myanmar came hours after Erdogan’s telephone call with Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi.

Turkey has once again topped the list of most generous countries in regards to humanitarian support as per percentage to their gross national income, according to a recent report published by the U.K.-based Development Initiatives.

The report, titled Global Humanitarian Assistance report 2017, said Turkey spent close to $6 billion on humanitarian aid in 2016, coming only second after the U.S., which spent $6.3 billion.

Turkey, however, was listed as the most generous country for spending 0.75 percent of its gross national income (GNI) on humanitarian causes.

"When Turkey's reported contributions are considered against its GNI, it spent 0.75 percent of GNI as humanitarian assistance in 2016 (up from 0.35 percent in 2015); while the US, ranked highest according to volumes of funding, provided international humanitarian assistance equivalent to just 0.03 percent of its GNI."

Turkey increased its humanitarian aid budget from $3.2 billion in 2014 to reach $6 billion the following year. From 2013 to 2016, Turkey maintained third or second place in the list of the world's most generous countries.

The United Arab Emirates spent 0.18 percent of its GNI, and Luxembourg spent 0.15 percent of its GNI, the report added.

The U.K., EU institutions, and Germany all followed Turkey in the list of major donor countries.

The total amount of aid given internationally rose from $25.7 billion in 2015 to $27.3 billion in 2016, with Turkey's aid making up around one-fifth of the total in 2016. Syria has been the most receiving country, with $2.14 billion, followed by Yemen and Jordan.

Meanwhile, the head of the EU delegation to Turkey praised Turkey on Tuesday for caring for millions of Syrian refugees during a concert to commemorate World Refugee Day.

"Both the Turkish government and Turkish citizens did a good job in hosting the Syrian refugees," Christian Berger said at the Modern Arts Center. "It is an extra burden and a great effort to host the highest number of refugees."

Representatives from several diplomatic missions gathered at the concert organized by the Research Center on Asylum and Migration (IGAM) with the support of Turkey's EU delegation, including Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara Philip Kosnett.

"It is an honor for me to pass on my gratitude on behalf of the United States to Turkey for opening your doors to refugees. We applaud the hosting countries that give vital contributions and their generosity," Kosnett said.

IGAM President Metin Çorabatır said the Syria issue would not be solved in the short-term.

"We should find ways to live with over 3 million refugees together in Turkey," he said.

The concert was performed by Syrian children who sang songs in Turkish, Arabic and English.

Turkey has the largest refugee population in the world and is currently home to more than 3 million Syrians, according to official data. It has spent around $25 billion to provide for those who have fled within its borders, while the international community contributed $526 million to that amount.

That figure accounts for approximately 45 percent of all Syrian refugees in the region, the U.N. says.

An additional 300,000 refugees in the region are mostly from Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran and Somalia.

She is a goodhearted 1st Lady of Turkey. She has also visited Arakan last year to meet and see the plight of Rohingyas. May God bless her. Hope, the Turkic pressure will cause Myanmar to accept Rohingyas as its own citizens.

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Bless the First Lady and the Foreign Minister of Turkey.

We are proud to be a Member of OIC alongwith Turkey, which is the de-facto responsible leader of OIC.

Turkey has now shown its commitment to OIC here by trying to resolve plight of Rohingya Muslims.

IMO - we should prefer Turkey and China in arms and large ticket purchases over any other country (which we have recently by the $1 billion OTOKAR deal). This trend of intra-OIC trade should continue. CENTO maybe not so alive, but the motives of that pact should also continue.
