What a shame. Why does Turkey even want to take a stand in this backward discussion? Free speech is the most important right a man can have. Being free to say anything you want, even if that means that somebody is insulted by it. If being insulted is the criteria to ban or block things, muslims should realize that the Quran would have been banned long ago by far right extremists in Europe and elsewhere. People, and especially muslims, should learn to respect other opinions and should have thin skin against such remarks.

In all honesty, it acheived more than the success that was expected. I've been reading Pakistani facebook pages and even the worst dogs are being treated as heros for using the religion card to their advantage, emotional savages have real short memory spans.

Considering most of the non-believers are reasonable people with decent education and IQ; unlike our extremist friend here, they are not going to use violence but words which are much more effective on extremists.

Needless to say, it is not possible for it to work both ways, at least not in Turkey. Even our Prime Minister is insulting atheists, i don't think it is possible to beat him.

The most irritating thing is not their insults but their victimizations... No matter what they do, they are the victim that needs the world's sympathy...

First part, no that's not true. Actually I know a lot of retards that just became athiest because of the heavy metal scene or something similar, just to look cool. Similarly I know a lot of deeply religious people who are really intelligent. So there's no way to say all intelligent peole are athiest/theist. I mean and lot of geniuses are jewish, going by your logic do you become one?
Also, I firmly beleive muslims that personally insult athiest should be given the same punishment.
To the second part, in some countries the situation is pretty bad, maybe it's wrong in turkey, but a lot of people we're genuinely victimized.

Don't be ridiculous, important 19th & 20th centuries breakthroughs in many fields were based on discoveries and inventions that Muslims had been achieved in Islamic Golden age. For your info, sophisticated words like Algebra, chemistry, Algorism were first used by Muslims. If you have no achievements, it doesn't mean others don't , educate yourself
