zagahaga -- i must protest, brother.
The Turks are people who have never been through colonialism. Nobody ever occupied their country. Hence, their policies are independent and based on their own opinions and assesments. Every Turk knows that our people supported them during the fall of Ottoman through their war of independence.
Same way -- every Pakistani knows that during wartime, and during earthquakes -- they were first to arrive on the scene with doctors and help for our affected people.
It is SO wrong to assume Turks would do anything against Pakistan --even if Uncle Sam made the order.
Turks not only denied U.S. landing/takeoff rights for their warplanes during Iraq illegal invasion -- but they have proved time and time again they have enough national honour not to do anything that would go against their interests.
We dont have many friends, but Turks and Chinese we can always trust.
And it is wrong to say such things, because we have Turkish people on this forum and I dont want them to get negative impression. Every bit of diplomacy counts, even on internet.
F16 upgradation will take some time. I'd rather have it take long time, but have it be high quality upgradation. If you see how many modifications will be done to those aircraft, you will understand why it will take time.
Patience is very important, brother. Think how happy you and I will be when we receive the F16s, with Sniper targetting pods, re-newed airframes, Link16 and all kinds of other goodies.
p.s. Jinnah Caddesi (Jinnah Avenue) is the longest street in Turkish capital Ankara.
