What's new

Turkey declares support to Bharat’s permanent membership at UNSC & President Erdogan said he would be ‘proud’ to have India as part of UNSC.

. .
One more falls into line. Only 3 nations China Pakistan and Italy oppose, the rest of the 193 would be happy to see India a permeant member of the Security Council

. . .
there goes Turkish-Pakistani brotherhood if it ever existed
Turkish people are proper businessmen, throw them a bone and they will fall in line. Ideological brotherhood only exists in this forum.

Remember how they submitted bid for replenishment ships for Indian navy, they very well know they will used to support naval operations against their ‘brother’. :D

India will never be a permanent member of UNSC. Even those who 'support' (aka lip service) India's permanent membership know this very well. That's why it's easy to 'support'.

Exactly!

None of the permanent members want to expand the UNSC.

Anyway China will always veto Indian membership.

India will never get into UNSC.

Although this news is just a lip service and nothing more but one thing every country and especially Pakistan & Pakistanis need to understand, nobody in this world support other unless there is some personal gain and in time of need no one will come to you. You need to do everything by yourself. Never ever depend on others.

It absolutely will , there is nothing in heaven and earth to prevent it. It however could take 10 to 15 years before it does.

The world order has changed a lot since 1945 and the UN is becoming increasingly less relevant as major global decisions are now taken at fora like G-7 or G-20. If the Security Council is not reformed to take into account the increased relevance of Germany, Japan, India, Brazil, etc, the UN will become even more irrelevant. No one takes Security Council resolutions seriously. The only parts of the UN system that still have real power are the IMF and World Bank.
