Both Iran and Turkey have made immense strides in self-sufficiency. Iran even had to deal with some of the harshest sanctions ever seen.

Iran's indigenous weaponry is not just 'toys' and 'propaganda' --- they've fired cruise/ballistic missiles accurately at a target in another country and downed two of the most expensive and sophisticated US drones.

Turkey's strides have been very impressive too. The fact that the world-class innovations keep coming in various domains is great to see. Who is responsible for this? Erdogan's government focusing on defense innovation?

My professor at MIT (former Inspector General of the NSA) put Iran just a small step below the major cyber powers in EW and offensive cyber capabilities. Please don't write off another country so easily.

Turkiye has started developing national defense industry after American arms embargo on Turkiye in 1975

The progress in the Turkish defense industry is unrivalled. No other industry in Turkey has done so much in so little time. In the 15 years, Turkish businesses and state-owned R&D centers have put amazing effort into their work and received amazing outcomes

because in 2004 president ERDOGAN has decided to support national defense industry
and Turkish military projects have risen to over 700 from 60

before Erdogan , there was not even a Turkish Rifle
its not about technology , its all about politics


Turkiye has developed even Aircrafts between 1936 and 1944
but pro-American Politicans closed Aircraft Factory and bought second hand used Aircrafts from France and USA

in 1940s even İran ,İraq , Spain , Poland and the Netherlands ordered Aircrafts from Turkiye
