Today some religious crackpots are intentionally changing the religious concept of ummah with a political one for their own evil vested interests and in this way are defaming islam all over the world so that non-muslims have started hating all muslims due to these political ummah loving crackpots.

Ummah = being muslim, if you are a practicing muslim (offer prayers, fast, zakat, hajj, etc.) you are part of ummah you don't have to support any particular political organization to become part of some "political" ummah.
