What's new

This time we are going to fight a different war

Hard for me to listen to khalifa of yousaf kazab.

. .
My friend training is one thing and i am sure they are familiar with the concept on a smaller scale but fighting in Radiation fallout zone is totally altogether a different thing.

Have any one of us on this forum come across a Decontamination vehicle of PA? Or such a setup at field level?

I know that the tanks are NBC protected, and some of the IFV & the new MRAPs but what about the lorried infantry, the individual soldier??? I have yet to see MOP gear/Atropine Kit as part of a soldiers individual kit.

Fighting in an NBC contaminated environment is not part of the regular training regime.
Every formation has decontamination detachment , And the infantry school nbc course includes radioactive zone fighting, and entire formations practice it once a couple of years,
We had it in limited scale supplied by Americans in the 80s , but since the indo pak nuke tests at first strike formations got them , Now a majority has the kits ,

Does he really think that the military planners never thought of all this? :hitwall:
He explained that very well in the video.i.e his meeting with Musharraf in 2004.
and pray that conventional parity remains in place. Because use of nuclear option is the end game and not beginning of a different type of war!!!
I think you did not listen to him carefully.By fighting a different war means this time it will be fought in cities rather than on border areas.Previously it was fought just on or close to border areas and our Western border was safe but this time our Western border is not safe and we already have 2 lakh troops deployed there. Which means we are fighting a two front war this time and it's quite possible that they will reach different cities of pakistan. So as he said there will be no difference between a soldier and civilian and everyone has to fight. To deal with such situation our population and army need a guerilla warfare training to make every street and populated area hell for Indian army. Our army is well trained and battle hardened in this Urban guerilla warfare but unfortunately our civilian population is not.

Diplomacy route Imran Khan has adopted is a good strategy if it leads to Economic Sanctions on India

.
Are we ready to destroy our country for nothing because no one is going to get anything out this war other than USA and Israel and it will end on the destruction of India and Pakistan. No one I repeat no one neither India nor Pakistan
Will achieve or get anything out of it but death and destruction. are we a suicide cult

either that or learn to live with Indian supremacy because until you accept India as your father like BD, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka has done these Hindus wont let you live in peace. I am for destroying India than become another BD.

We have not and will not should not if they want to do something about it they should
at least the onus of destruction of south asia and murder of 100s of millions of people will be upon them not us. So

Hi,

Zaid Hamid does give some decent arguments to further his points. If there will be a war then it will be different to all wars fought so far in history of mankind.
Forget about nuclear for now and just focus on the conventional strength of both sides, i dont think two armies with such weapons have gone to war before.
There is a realistic chance of firing missiles (with conventional war heads) at each other and as per our Prime minister had we not received intel at the right time India would have targeted 6 of our cities.
I still fear that this kind of a scenario will occur in the future, my only hope is that after observing the magnitude of damage caused by the few conventional war head missiles both sides might step back and India will agree to come to the talking table.
Talking about complete annihilation is another thing and then going ahead with it is another.

Solution is multidimensional...

supply the Afghan Taliban with all the manpower & firepower they need to overwhelm & take over all bordering areas of Pakistan, control most of the border areas anyway.

Cut off all american supplies to Afghanistan.

Put all the political fitna markers like bilawal, molvi diesel et al behind bars, cook up corruption charges if you have to so they can't play the political victimization card.

Pour fuel on fires all over india's separation movements especially Kashmir & khalistan while making the poor bastards on the other side of the border die for his bharat mata while we sit back and enjoy the show while having some fantashtik :coffee: and :pop:!

Small companies and battalions with a relaxed decentralised command structure. Where junior officer until say major level for example, has the initiative can wreak havoc. This was done by JSOC in Iraq when American really were in a tight spot tunred the tides. And also to some extent by Russians in WW2 Stalingrad etc.

This can conform to the larger strategy drawn out by the general staff. If they tailor the strategy in a way that has lee way and flexibility built in. By allowing the junior officers to have initiative and use their creativity but making sure junior officers fulfill broader goals pointed out by General staff.

I agree with Zaid because we have experience in fighting a urban decentralized warfare against an enemy that was using the urban and mountainous environment against us in Miranshah campaign.

Now that we have that experience under our belt as a case study.

We can apply same knowledge and turn it against our enemy in the city or in the suburbs and rural areas too.

Zaid Hamid is a bit of a cuckoo. He gets angry. Has had some controversial religious views.

But he seems to be the only one making good videos trying to prepare a sleeping nation for potential war.
Alas it seems majority of Pakistanis are still sleeping and not making necessary preperation for what could potentially happen.
He makes sense about military matters.

What he is referring to is going to be mid or late into the war. We are planning to pack a punch before that happens and possibly go tactical nuclear before shit hits the fan. If war becomes so decentralised it would mean we are in deep trouble already. Secondly A company commander or even a battalion commander doesn't need to take Strategic decisions, they will remain at mostly tactical level. They cannot influence change in strategy. Only use of Tactical nukes is a decision at strategic level for a field commander.

However I get his point and general direction is right.

I beg to differ sir, our army is trained and well versed in fighting guerrilla warfare in mountainous terrain where they have air superiority. The scenario he is laying out is not going to happen. He is still thinking on conventional lines. GoP/not the Armed forces will allow a major city to be taken over by India through conventional strike!!!!

Fighting in an urban terrain/CQB without air-cover is not something that we have trained for.

In Syria, the GoS, took street by street control away from urban guerrilla units with the help of air cover.

Furthermore, Mr. ZH does not explain the events that lead up to a urban warfare scenario. Will GoP allow such a thing to happen with nukes in hand? I for one think that once a tactical nuclear exchange happens than sector commanders will have control over theater nuclear weapons (As Mr. ZH advises) and then it is anyone's guess what happens next.

I think very few on this forum realize and or have the understanding that when two nuclear powers go to war on their own soil what will happen!! Command and control will crumble once a tactical nuclear strike is initiated, and then all decisions will be left to individual commanders training, discipline, world view, and religious leanings & disposition. The last element is the wild card.

Sir I do hope so. Because I too went through class room NBC course and indoctrination and then whole shebang in field. It is cumbersome, it cuts down the war-fighting capacity of the individual soldier by forty percent (In US army where they are almost totally mechanized). The temp in the field in this part of the world cuts down that capacity by atleast 10% more in not higher.

Nevertheless they are ready ,
Also we have various mountainous areas where nukes have very limited effect from where the war would carry on ,

Why? What is so bad about becoming another BD?
